Power: Memory. By touching people he can see, and even 'download' their memories. He is also capable of blocking and altering memories. Unfortunately, touching people and using his power tends to make the person feel like they've been burnt. It is uncertain at this time why the burning sensation occurs. One theory is that Duke is inadvertantly inserting the memory of being burnt, another is that he accesses their memory centers too fast. Additionally, Duke has a fantastic memory of his own - he remembers everything in fact.

Comments: Liked to dance around the house naked. Also takes drama, tap dancing, jazz ballet and singing classes. Would like to get into the entertainment industry professionally. Bully magnet. Was invited to audition for one of the projects that Prince Harry is working on, thanks to Miette. Got the role of "Martin 'Marty' Jameson", in the mutant soapie "Fairview". During the filming of a scene in said TV show, Duke's mutation became apparent, and the nature of it forced the writers to completely alter the scripts for that week, the ones they had written/were working on since then and the producers had to alter some of the long term plans they had. On the bright side, his inabilty to touch people had started a new wave in fashionable gloves. Recently, Duke was able to have his first kiss with Robyn, which he did without hurting her, although he did still download her memories.

Comments: He and his family all have traditional Sem names - the fact that Hugh's nickname resembles a human name is mere coincidence. He and his family are members of the Semirellian Purist Movement. Of all the members, he is the strongest telepath - a good couple of levels above the next strongest. The adult telepaths have trained him as best they can, but for the most part, now that he is coming into the strength of his power, Hugh is forced to train himself, having surpassed everyone's else's ability. No one is aware of his true level. One of his first activities as a member of the SPM was to program an instruction for Alex to kill Isabel, hidden behind a block designed to wear down over time, but not so soon that Isabel, being a Dreamwalker, would get any subsconsious leakage if she went into his dreams. On his first mission, going with a team to poison Liz and Max, Hugh is caught. Tanya gives him a collar, and he is transferred to the Rehab centre.

Comments: Illeanna is a quiet girl. Her quietness is such that it is often mistaken for shyness or weakness, but nothing could be further from the truth. She has a large pool of inner strength and loyal to the bitter end. She's a great listener but not easily moved by poor arguments or self-serving remarks. As a belated birthday present for her 13th birthday, Illeanna was given a ka'millian, whom she named Jaeger. Jaegar was a tempermental ka'millian, who, if he hadn't picked Illeanna as his owner (and not the other way around), probably would have been put down. He is loyal only to Illeanna, and will attack without warning at the first sign of aggression against his beloved mistress.

Comments: Joey was sixteen when the gang of thugs decided to take advantage of the fact that most of the household was out to attack her father, Johnny. Naturally both father and daughter resisted their efforts to subdue them, but in the end, Joey was shot. Multiple times. Johnny was greatly distraught and although he fought valiantly, was unable to free himself, let alone attend his daughter. However, although Joey was left for dead, it only took twenty minutes for all six bullets to be expelled from her body, cutesy of her mutant powers of regeneration. With no one watching out for her, Joey was able to access one of the hidden guns in the house, load it, and managed to kill or badly wound at least half of the remaining thugs before they realised she was still alive. No one was more surprised than Johnny (except maybe Joey herself). Certainly, none of the thugs were allowed to leave... alive. Johnny advised Joey to keep her mutation quiet. It wasn't that he had any dislike of mutants (truthfully, until he discovered his daughter was one he hadn't given them much thought), more that he believed that information shouldn't simply be given away. Besides, the less people that knew, the safer Joey would be: this would be some Ace up her sleeve, if she ever needed it. Joey kept her father's advice seriously, and took it further by not bringing attention to herself, and allowing people to under-estimate her. After graduating high school, Joey went onto business school and earned a high position in Johnny's empire. Although Johnny never said so to her face, Joey knew that he was a lot more pleased with her than he was with his sons, Andy and Donny. Joey dated on and off, of course, like any beautiful, wealthy woman would. Mid-2004, Joey met Gambit, her father's latest, and rapidly rising, employee. Perhaps her interest in him was only enhanced when Johnny explicitly told her not to get involved, warning her of his reputation as a womaniser. That on top of the fact that Joey was one of the few - initially - to learn he was a mutant, prompted Joey to pursue him. To this end, Gambit was the first person she ever told about her mutation. Although things didn't work out between them quite the way she hoped, the two have remained friends. Afterwards Joey started a relationship with Harry, whom she had met at business school. Harry became the father of Joey's daughter, Marissa. It was soon evident that Marissa had inherited Joey's regenerative powers. Joey and Harry didn't even become engaged, however, until shortly before Johnny's death in November 2007. Their marriage has been put off in the wake of the war between Andy and Donny of their inheritances. Although frustrated by her brothers, Joey is finding that her earlier efforts to be under-estimated have come to fruition, and she is working hard 'behind the scenes' to restore her father's empire to it's former prosperity (and into her hands) as much as possible before her brothers notice her pulling the rug out from under their feet.

In recent times (Dec 2004), Scott realised that his education was severely lacking in some areas (particularily danger room hours), and made a point of correcting the omision. Has managed to control her power enough to help her escape attempted assassination, etc, but it also caused her to be crowned early - as her power partly works on what people want to see (or don't want to see) and letting them think that... well... they thought she was older than what she was, and then they were too embarrassed to say anything when she got enough control and were around her enough to determine, hey, she wasn't that old after all! Started the Genovia Society of Mutants, to bring honour back into their lives. The GSM HQ also serves as the YIRAAS HQ in Genovia. Correct mode of address is "Your Royal Highness"

Comments: When Genovia became a mutant haven, his parents sent him there to complete his eductation properly. He was being homeschooled as, after it became obvious he was a mutant, he suffered at the hands of mutant hating peers. Now in Genovia he's being treated with mixed reactions - those who haven't quite adapted to mutants, those who actually do treat him like a peer, and those who has succumbed to the mutant fashion and think he's all that! Shy. A part of him wishes that he was human, and could continue to live at home in Canada, but a part of him wouldn't want to lose his mutation for anything in the world.

Comments: Tanya grew up in a small, alien community that refuse to integrate with YIRAAS and made concerted afforts to undermine their authority amongst other things. When discovering Tanya's immense telepathic abilities, she was recruited into their work at a young age and grew up believing that what she was doing was right. Eventually was caught, and was taken into hand by Carl Wallace "the other master", although she did spend some time in rehab where she tried the "lure them into a false sense of security by pretending to integrate" trick. Took up aliases to hide her identity from her family who desperately wanted her back, and eventually had to help take them down. Carl sponsored her application to become a YIRAAS agent, and in her enthusiasim to prove her worth, burnt herself out on her first assignment. The backlash affected her physically rather than mentally and she was told that she would never have children. Suffice to say she was very happy to find out many years later that their assessment was wrong, or the damaged had healed enough to allow her to have a child, Kit, after all. Went under cover in The Spider's organisation and has long since regretted not pulling out Christian when she had the chance then, although such an act would have exposed her identity. While she and Craig got very close, Tanya never really receiprocated his feelings. Retired from being an Agent after backing Christian at times which proved to be unwise as far as her career was concerned. Is now considered a YIRAAS consultant, and helps manage the teleportation amplifiers construction and maintenance. Has a secretary, Cynthia.

Comments: Whip was victim to his mother's love of day time soaps (he was named after one of the characters). Whip had to hide his powers from his family - all but Annika - when they developed, as there was no telling what his opportunistic mother would have done. Annika helped him get a 'scholarship' at Mutant High to get him out of danger.
