Leroy, Tanya and Kit sat around the Christmas tree. Kit hadn't quite gotten the concepts of 'present' and 'unwrap' yet, but he did admire the Wiggles wrapping paper quite a bit.
Okay, a lot.
But after Kit had been sated with Wiggles gear and was happily playing with his new Big Red Car toy, Leroy and Tanya shared their gifts with each other.
"Oh," Leroy observed. "One last present left."
He scooted forward and picked up the small box.
"It's for you."
"There's a surprise," Tanya smiled at him.
She opened it, and promptly gaped in surprise of the diamond ring inside.
"Leroy..."
"Will you marry me, Tanya?"
Tanya stared at him.
"Leroy... I... I don't know..."
"Look, I know things have been pretty screwy between us, after all that stuff with Christian and the Hanson boys and Tad and everything, and we've had more than our share of screaming arguments and all, but at the end fo the day... I love you," Leroy said. "I love you, and Kit too. And I think it's about time that we formalised our relationship. Besides, it'll be good for Kit if he can see both his parents."
"Moving in would accomplish that all by itself," Tanya commented dryly.
"You know what I mean."
Tanya sighed.
"I do," she conceeded.
"So?"
"I'll... I'll need to think about it."
There was no conceling Leroy's disappointment, but he nodded.
"Okay. Take all the time you need."
