Travis was born in the labs and has known no other life. He knows lots of fun games to play and can find all sorts of cool things to do with even the most mundane of items. He was very excited about moving out of the labs and considered the new neighbourhood to be one big playground. Although Erica had impressed on Travis that school was a horrible place, Travis actually found that he loved learning.
Travis and his roommate at Uni, Ralph Davenport dated the same girl, Melissa Wren. Before their graduation, however, it was his engagement ring that Melissa accepted and the two were wed after they moved back home. But all was not well, and in the end Travis discovered that Melissa was having an affair with Ralph. He broke up with his unfaithful wife, and invited Ralph's ex-wife Vyn to move in with him. He and Vyn later married, unwilling to go through the rest of their lives alone, also unwilling to return to the dating pool.
