Roguette D'Beau Turns Into Plant!
Roguette D'Beau was merely attending to her garden, spraying the bugs that were attacking her plants when she underwent a most strange transformation. Her skin turned green, her hair turned green, and ironically her green eyes turned yellow.

"Naturally, I was terrified," Roguette said. "For a time I didn't know what do to! Then I went to the one person I knew who could help me: my brother-in-law Nicholas Wilson."

"The alterations were largely harmless," said Nicholas, leading natural scientist. "I know that might seem difficult to believe, but it's true. Roguette's body had changed so that she could survive on water, sunlight and love alone."

"As a romance sim I saw this to my advantage," Roguette added smugly. "Of course, it took us a little while before we figured that out. Unfortunately, there were two side-effects. One

was a decreased lifespan, which can be countered by using the "elixir of life" zuchini juice. Heh. The other was a bigger problem and the reason why I decided to get an antidote."

Roguette was referring to the birth of her third daughter, Xylina.

"I didn't know what they were supposed to do," Roguette muttered. "It just happened! Do you have any idea how embarrassing it is to admit I had a child with myself? I am so not risking that happening again!"

Nicholas managed to devise an antidote, which will be available from the Rainbow Valley Garden Club.

"My research shows that the virus that the scientists infected our, erm, founders with reacted with the chemical make up of the bug spray and that is what caused the alterations. Obviously many, if not all, of us have sprayed our plants before without side-effects, so the chances of it happening are rather remote. For anyone wanting to avoid having to take the antidote, I recommend greenhouses and lady bug houses."

Travis and Vyn Speak Out
We have a very special interview this week with Travis Reid and Vyn Davenport, the victims of their partners' infidelity.

Anna: This must be really tough for you guys. You're found out in a very public way that your partners were cheating on you. I thank you for agreeing to talk with me.

Travis: It's a little hard to keep secrets in our small community.

Anna: Okay, so why don't you guys tell me what's happened, in your own words?

Vyn: It started with the report that you did last week, with the photo taken by your hidden camera at the Ten Pin Cafe. I saw it and asked Ralph about it. He exploded. I've never seen him so upset. I'm sorry to say that we fought about it. If he had told me that it was just a photo taken as friends - which was what he claimed to everyone else, I would have believed him.

Travis: At least until Melissa's babies came along.

Vyn: Well, yes. Instead there was a lot of shouting and him accusing me of accusing him of things... I would have been prepared to try to work things out: family is very important to me. Then Melissa's twins were born, and he invited her to move in with him.

Travis: I'm afraid I gave Melissa a bit of a hard time. It was a little hard not to see that the twins weren't mine. Of course, Melissa, Ralph and I all had a bit of a history together - both of us dated

Melissa during Uni - so seeing this obvious evidence that she and Ralph had been having an affair... I said a few things I shouldn't have and of course, Melissa went running to Ralph.

Vyn: When Melissa moved in with us, I knew it was all over. I knew there was no hope that Ralph and I could ever reconcile our marriage, and I just couldn't stay there knowing that there was no hope, and living with the woman who... who... Who Ralph had really been in love with all along.

Anna: Here, have a tissue.

Vyn: Thanks.

Travis: Found Vyn crying on a bench in the Memorial Park, along with her bags. She had nowhere else to go, so I invited her to move in with me. This way she'd still be close to her children.

Anna: That was very considerate of you.

Vyn: My biggest regret is leaving the children behind. I love them so much... And they're so young now, I just hope they understand why I left.

Anna: Either of you think you'll marry again?

Travis: It's funny you should ask that. We actually married each other just yesterday.

Anna: Really? Congratulations!

Vyn: Thank you.

Travis: We've done the dating game, and the marriage game, and we've both been burnt. Neither of us want to go through that again, but neither of us want to spend the rest of out lives alone either. We both wanted someone to care for and of course, Vyn wants more kids. It seemed like the perfect solution.

Anna: So this is more a marriage of convience, rather than love?

Vyn: We share the love that all best friends have for each other. We've known each other for years now, and we've been through good and bad times together. I don't know if we'll ever be 'in love' with each other, but I'd be happy to find out.

Anna: Awesome. So, any final words for Ralph and Melissa? Whom I believe have also married?

Travis: Yes, I believe they did too. We hope that they're very happy together.
