When the SimNation Neighbourhood Board granted us one, fully funded, community lot for our neighbourhood there ws much debate as to what it should be.
Then the night before we moved in, we got the news: Lauren and Theodore Davenport had been tragically killed. After that, there was no more debate: We knew what kind of community lot we wanted.
Thus contruction was commenced and completed this summer on the Davenport Memorial Park. It is the final resting place of Lauren and Theodore Davenport, as well as Cassandra Chancellor and Casper Walker.
As the only green spot in our entire neighbourhood, it is also the most picturesque. The gravestones of Lauren and Theodore are surrounded by trees and flowers. The small building housing the urns of Cassandra and Casper is small, airy, open and has a beautiful mural paint on its walls. There are chairs, swings and bathrooms available to visitors. All of which we believe they would have wanted.

neighbourhood of war-torn dirt is the placement of a small grocery shop. As we are all starting out, having groceries delivered to our home would have been an extra, unneccesary expense that many of us would not have been able to afford.
It is our hope that one day we shall be able to remove this blight from the resting place of our loved ones. In the meantime, we, the families, are certain that they wouldn't mind this temporary inconvience.

SimNation has already commenced the seeding of the neighbourhood to turn this former "no mans lands" back into green. Unlike those of us who have taken to growing our own food, the greening will take awhile longer. We should expect to see results but next spring.
A position for Mayor of Rainbow Valley is now open. SimNation is aware that as we are only a new neighbourhood, that the election for Mayor will be sometime as we work to establish ourselves.
In other news, I'm sure you'll all be glad to know that this is so far a crime-free nighbourhood (unless you count the grocery sales in the Davenport Memorial Park!). The installation of a fire station, however, has been a blessing to this community in the wake of the many fires this week.
