Rainbow Valley's second Wishing Well winner is Queenie and Remy D'Beau.

"We decided to have the house in the back, and the gardens out the front for all the world to see," Queenie said. "Why hide such a lovely scene?"

The D'Beaus have a pond, green house and orchard tree. The feature is a fountain on the footpath leading to the front door. Flowers adorn the footpaths, and not even the compost bin looks out of place.

"Yes, well, I noticed that after we put in the fountain, some of our neighbours decided to do it too," Queenie sniffed. "They say imitation is the sincerist form of flattery, but really."

The wishing well had already been incorporated into the design when the Rainbow Valley Chronicle came around to take a picture.

"Why waste time? We had taken it into account, after all," Queenie dismissed. "Had to. It would have made our beautiful garden look rather slap dash if we hadn't."

Queenie and Remy D'Beau are always happy to have people come by and look at their garden - as long as they only look.

Katrina and Phil Todd are the winners of the third Wishing Well award. Their garden begins in the front yard and extends into the back, although Katrina maintains they've only just begun to garden.

Out the front, the footpaths are lines with flowers. An outdoor spa is shaded by trees and semi-privacy provided by a hedge wall.

The backyard has two small green houses, a small pool, a pond, and a number of trees including three orchard ones.

"The back looks very spartan compared to the front," Katrina replied. "You can't believe how thrilled we were to win the wishing well award even with all the kids toys strewn around the back. We're going to fix that."

This was also where the Todd's decided to place their brand new wishing well.
