Next Week: Spring - Summer

Our First YearWelcome to Rainbow Valley
Rainbow Valley has been hit with its first snow since its founding.

Many of us haven't seen snow in years. The rest haven't seen snow at all. That just made the experience of the first snow all the more exciting.

All over Rainbow Valley there were snowmen and snow angels on lawns, snowball fights. Some people even sighted penguins.

What's more, our kids were introduced to the concept of the 'snow day'. Remember the excitement on their faces when you told them they didn't have school today?

Then the winter faded into spring and our first year in Rainbow Valley was complete. We all gathered in the Davenport Memorial Park to celebrate our founding day with each other.

So much has happened over the past year. Children were born, grew up, went to University, and our first students have graduated. We even had our first marriage, and two Life Choices have been fulfilled.

The Greek House, sole Greek house on campus, has passed on the torch from Daria Chancellor to Kitty Rossi and Marie D'Beau.

What will our second year bring? There are many marriages pending. More children? First grandchildren? One thing is certain, if this, our first year is any indication of our future years, then Rainbow Valley is going to be very prosperous indeed.

What a winter its been! Everyone enjoy that snow day? I know my kids did.

Then the snow melted and it was spring. I know that we were all expecting to see green as soon as it thawed. It didn't quite work out that way, but there are green shoots sprouting all over the place. It shouldn't be long now before the final touch of winter is gone and there should be green as far as the eye can see.

In other news, another batch of our kids have moved to Uni. There are going to be some empty houses for a while. On the flip side, we also have our first Uni graduates. More on them on page 2.
