Avery walked into the living room to find Jessica pouring over more wedding magazines. She plopped herself down on the couch beside her, taking one of the discarded ones from the table and flipping through it.
"Hey Aves?" Jessica glanced at her for a second, then refocused her attention on the page she was on.
"Mmmm?"
Jessica took a deep breath. "Well, I was wondering... you can say no, of course, but... the wedding is next month, and I was hoping you'd be part of... I was hoping you'd be a bridesmaid."
Avery was quiet for a moment, before a smile spread across her face. She looked over at her sister and nodded. "Of course, thank you for thinking of me."
"Of course I would think of you!" Jessica laughed. "I think it's going to be hectic, getting everyone fitted, but I thought you, Zoe, Kate, Nikki and Natalie could all go together."
"Oh, sure," Avery nodded.
"I'm really glad you're back here again," Jessica said honestly. "I know you and I drifted apart when we were teenagers, and then you were living away from home and... it's just nice that we're both here again."
"I'm sorry I don't remember very much about you," Avery told her. "Just bits and pieces."
"That's ok," Jessica replied. "The fact you remember me at all is good."
