Jess sat at the table with Joe and Diana, looking over the brochures they had, and a big wedding folder sat in front of them.
"Well, I still love this venue," Jess said, pulling the brochure towards them. "I love the idea of an outside wedding."
"Whatever you want, babe," Joe nodded, leaning over to kiss the side of her head. "I think it'll be a great time for it, by then the leaves will be starting to change and it'll be beautiful."
Diana nodded her agreement. "If we're settled on that, then I'll make the call later this afternoon. Now, have we worked out the bridal party?"
Jess looked sad for a moment. "I was hoping Avie would... but I'm happy with Zoe being the maid of honour, I mean, I know that Avie would've made me hers, so Zoe might not get a chance to do it for one of us..."
Diana rubbed her eyes, nodding her agreement. "Yes... I think with the present circumstances, this is the best idea."
"She'll come back, it'll all work out, I promise," Joe said, looking first at Jess and then at Diana. He cleared his throat. "So, I have my brothers and then there's the boys..."
Jess forced a weak smile. "And Kate, Nikki and Nat..."
"This is going to be a big party," Diana chimed in.
And so, they continued on the wedding plans, with Avery and her absence in the back of their minds.
