Avery woke early, showering and dressing in a pair of jeans and a tshirt, tucking her sweater into her bag. Her bags were all packed and ready for her collection when she was ready to come back to go to the airport. She put a pair of socks on and slipped her feet into her Converse, then straightened up. She braided the front portion of her hair to the side, then let the rest of it hang down, falling into it's natural waves.
Letting her eyes sweep once more over the room to check she hadn't forgotten anything, she wheeled her suitcase out the door, heading for the lift, letting out a yawn. The doors opened and she made the short journey down to the lobby, where she went to the front desk and checked out, organising to leave her belongings with the hotel for later that afternoon, when she had her airport transfer.
That being all set, she made her way back out in the city, set to do a few more hours of sightseeing before she had to get her next flight. She was almost reluctant to leave, Florence had left the biggest impression on her so far, and she was itching to get back home and try out painting with watercolours.

It was still early, so not many people were out and about, it was mainly tourists, like Avery, but still, she didn't notice the two men following her.
The Null stood behind her as she stopped in the side street, and it was that, more than anything, that made Avery aware something was wrong. She looked around, noting how quiet it had suddenly gotten in her head, and that's when she felt something hit her in the head.
And then it was all black.
