Christian felt bad for what he was about to do. He really did. But he'd finally found a way out and he needed to take it.
He readied the needle in an unsettlingly familiar way before slowly driving it into the man's arm.
At least he wasn't feeling anything.
He stood up and checked everything to make sure the blood he was extracting wouldn't be at all tainted. It hadn't taken him long to put it all together and he wanted to make sure it was absolutely worth putting this guy through what he now needed to.
He sighed and rubbed his eyes knowing that at any moment he could stop this. And yet he didn't.
He watched as the blood slowly dripped into the nearby bag, a hint of nausea hitting him suddenly. He knew straight off the bat that this wasn't going to be a bike ride in the park, but now that he was actually here it made it seem... suddenly all too real.
"Idiot," he muttered to himself before heading for the door to get some fresh air.
He was spending too much time dwelling on everything. He needed to focus.
His mind wandered back to when he was living with Avery. Not that it was all that long ago. The rejection he'd felt when she turned him down just for looking like Taylor. And the days afterward when he'd carefully go through her things, just to get an idea of what kind of guy she might actually go for in a physical way. But it was all a daydream at the time, he knew short of befriending a light manipulator or getting some very heavy plastic surgery that nothing was going to change his position. And still there was the matter of his scars...
But not anymore.
He wandered back inside and checked how much blood had been let. Figuring it was roughly just over enough, he grabbed a second needle and stuck it into the bag. He withdrew the dosage he'd seen Lucious use, then took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
"Here we go," he breathed.
He carefully dug the needle into his own arm and pressed the plunger. He immediately began to feel dizzy, but he stood regardless and headed into the bathroom where he could see himself in the mirror. It took a few moments before he began to feel any different, but when the changes came... they were drastic.
"Woah," Christian jumped back a little as his hair instantly changed colour to black.
He took a moment to pull himself together, then returned to the mirror to concentrate.
His eyes returned to their original crystalline blue. His cheekbones rose a little, his lower jaw thinned, and he adjusted the tip of his nose just a little.
"Amazing," he said to himself, noticing his voice was suddenly a lot deeper after the work on his neck.
He rubbed his Adam's apple absently, before heading back to the other room. The blood letting continued at an even pace, and he readied some small bottles to fit the dosage into.
"Welcome to the real world," he said to a lonely room, suddenly grinning very widely.
