"So, where are you this week?" Faith asked, sitting back against her chair. She idly played with a knife, standing it on it's tip on her finger, keeping it's balance.
"New York," Priestly laughed, unlocking the door to his hotel room. "Not overseas. Close enough for a visit, if a mother was so inclined."
"Is that a hint?" she teased. "I'll see if I can arrange that."
"Are you in LA?" he asked. "The line is clear."
"Yep," Faith confirmed. "Helping Angel out with some stuff. Hey, I'm sorry about you and Vanessa."
Priestly was quiet for a second. "Yeah well... you know, no one said love lasts forever, right?"
"You are way too young to be that jaded, kidlet," she told him. "The offer still stands, I will kick her ass if you want."
Priestly laughed.
"Not even kidding, baby," she insisted.
"I know, I know," Priestly told her. "That's why I'm not saying yes, because I know you would. It's ok, I've managed to not see her at all at premieres, the only tricky thing is Ash's new movie is a spinoff from HSM, so... I may have to see her there."
"Be a hardass, just like I taught you," Faith advised. "You'll be fine. And I'll come out to visit after that, if you like?"
"Yes please," he said. "I just feel a bit... disconnected from everything at the moment. Filming is keeping me busy, which is great. But it's the alone time that kills me."
"Say no more, I'll book a flight."
