Christian took full advantage of Avery's absence to continue his work in the ceiling. Today he'd managed to crawl into the roof space, and had begun setting each of the small LED lights into the holes he'd poked through a week or so earlier.
It was a long, boring, but difficult task. He didn't have much room to work with and there were definitely rats up there with him. But he was glad he'd left the lights in the apartment on because it was making it easier to find the holes.
It took him most, if not all, of the day to get the lights in. He then focused on connecting the wiring down through one of the walls, and finally retreated from the roof space once and for all.
Once back in the apartment he pulled part of the wall apart in order to fix the wiring. He took it down to where he'd fixed a switch, well hidden in a dark corner of the room. Another hour or so of work, and it was ready to test.
He went to lay in his now usual spot on the floor, and telekinetically turned off the main lights. Before he could forget where it was, he flipped on the new switch, and grinned as he looked up.
The lights weren't at full brightness, which led them to 'sparkle' like stars in a night sky. The swirling motions he'd created appeared to form small galaxies in the ceiling, and he'd been careful to include some of the more well known constellations.
Momentarily proud of his work, he turned the lights on again and sighed.
Now for the hard part.
