Christian was laying in the middle of the floor of the apartment, looking up at the ceiling. His hair billowed out around his head, his black clothes covered in dust.
He lifted his arm and pointed at another spot on the ceiling, creating a small hole with his telekinesis, the dust raining down on him again.
Pulling a face, he fixed the hole with his atom manipulation, then made another one a few inches to the left.
He slowly created a spiral-type pattern, working his way outward. Once he figured it was big enough, he shifted slightly and started another smaller one at the side.
He knew Avery was due home any minute, but figured she was getting used to him laying in odd spots. The fact that he'd actually had a bed for a month now didn't cross his mind.
Avery
Avery shook the snow from her hair as she stepped into the apartment, shedding her coat as she did so. She walked in to find Christian laying on the floor covered in dust.
"Comfortable?" she asked, stepping over him on her way to the kitchen.
Christian
"You'd be surprised," he responded, hesitating before sitting up.
He shook the dust from his hair and then his clothes.
"I think we have rats in the ceiling. I wasn't this dirty a couple of hours ago."
Avery
"What what?" Avery paused in her tracks and turned around.
"Rats? Oh hell no, I am not living with rats."
Christian
"Well Jethro did say he had the exterminator on call..."
He paused.
"Oh wait. You weren't there at the time. Sorry, probably should have mentioned that," he scratched his head, "I can give him a call later."
Avery
"Yes, do that please," Avery said, wrinkling her nose.
"I'm just... not ok with living with rats."
Christian
"All part and parcel of living in New York I'm afraid," Christian sighed, still brushing himself off.
"I'm gonna hit the shower. There's Chinese food in the fridge if you're hungry."
Avery
"Nah, I'm good," Avery said, waving her hand. "I'm heading out for dinner with some friends from school, but thanks."
She head off in the direction of her room.
Christian
Chris watched her leave and then looked up at the ceiling.
He smiled to himself, then headed for the bathroom.
