"Hey you," Matt said, as soon as Avery opened the door. He grinned at her reaction, her face lighting up in surprise, and a huge grin spread over her face.
"You loser!" she cried, jumping into his arms.
He laughed and picked her up, twirling her around. "Surprise?"
"I thought you weren't going to be able to get down here this weekend," she said, kissing him on the cheek when he let her down.
"Originally, I wasn't," Matt told her, following her into the apartment. "But I managed to get it off at the last minute. Sorry I didn't call."
"Don't apologise, I'm like... super amped about this," Avery nodded. She showed him into her bedroom so he could put his bag down, and immediately pounced on him for another kiss.
"Where's your roommate?" he asked in between kisses.
Avery shrugged. "Not sure, was just about to get dinner organised, what do you feel like?"
"Friday is cheat day, isn't it?" Matt wiggled his eyebrows. "I've been craving that pizza we had last time I was here."
"Sho thang, playa, let me just get changed," she said, reluctantly pulling out of his arms. She pulled her dress over her head and laughed when Matt started clapping and whistling.
"Yes, this, I've missed this," he chuckled.
"Such a perve," she said, looking over her shoulder at him. She grabbed a pair of skinny jeans and a loose fitting top from her wardrobe and dressed, slipping her feet into a pair of flip flops.
"Hey, it's been awhile," he grinned. "I haven't seen you since you were up... a month ago?"
"Shall we start Skyping naked?" she teased. She located her phone, wallet and keys and tossed them into a small handbag, taking his hand as they left her room.
"I think this is a brilliant idea," Matt insisted, chuckling. "I am down with it."
"Yeah, you would be, you huge perve."
