"Hey babe," Kate greeted, as Zac walked into the kitchen. She tilted her head as he leaned in to kiss her cheek, before shooing her gently aside from the cooking.
"Sit boo," Zac replied, taking over. "How was your day?"
"Not too bad, Shep and I did the groceries and just had a chilled out day, didn't we?" she said, glancing down at Shep who was sitting in his playpen, happily chittering to his toys.
"Were ya helping mommy, were ya, little one?" Zac turned and grinned at Shepherd who simply clapped happily at him. "He's having a good day."
"Good vibes in the air," Kate laughed. "Makes it much easier, just like your mom said. Oh hey, so I spoke to Avie last night."
"How's she coping, now that she's not with Mac?" Zac asked, turning back to the dinner.
"I think she's enjoying living there much more now," she told him. "So, did Tay go over just to visit? Or was he in New York anyway?"
Zac's eyebrows furrowed and he glanced over his shoulder at his wife. "As far as I know, Tay's not in New York... unless he took a day trip but... I spoke to him today and he didn't mention it. What makes you think he was there?"
Kate shrugged. "I saw him on Skype, just a glimpse of him, he was leaving the living room. At least... it kind of looked like him, but kind of didn't, if that makes sense."
"Oh... ok," Zac replied, deciding to find out from Taylor tomorrow if he had actually been in New York or if his theory was unfounded.
