"So what's the place like?" Kate asked, sitting back in her chair at the desk. She rested a hand on her very pregnant belly as she watched Avery through the laptop.
"It's good, it's pretty big. Great view of the city, so there's a lot of inspiration there," Avery replied, scratching the side of her face lightly.
"How's it going with your roommate, better than Mac?" she grinned, knowing of some of the fights that had erupted between the siblings.
Avery laughed. "It's better than living with Mac, but everything was going to be an improvement from that. He's alright, I only see a bit of him because I've got so much on lately. But how are you doing? You must almost be ready to pop!"
"Not quite," Kate smiled. "Another few months yet. Shep's getting excited, I think."
"And how is little Shep? And Zac... I guess," Avery chuckled.
"Both are great," Kate replied. "Zac's basically doing everything for me these days, which is nice."
"He does make a good slave," Avery nodded. "I've been meaning to come home soon, I feel like I haven't seen everyone in years. School's about to go on break, so I might come back for a few weeks then."
The girls continued chatting for awhile longer, and just as Avery was logging off, Kate caught a glimpse of someone in the background. She shook her head, wondering if it had been Taylor, after all, she had seen Natalie not that long ago, and she hadn't mentioned Taylor being in New York.
She shook her head, why did it matter anyway?
