Christian was looking through the newspaper, mainly in a ruse to convince Avery that he was actually job hunting.
And then he suddenly spotted something that he probably wouldn't mind doing.
Security.
Plenty of night clubs in the area were after bouncer-types. Strip clubs needed guys to escort their girls to their cars at night. Even some big name companies just needed guys to stand around and look important even if they didn't actually do anything. And because it was a 'dangerous job', the pay was actually decent.
Still arguing with himself, he made the split second decision that he was spending too much time just sitting around doing nothing while Avery was working her arse off to keep them in the black. Not that money was the issue (thank you Steel), but she had still been leaving a lot of hints with her "good luck on the job hunt" notes and goodbye messages she left on a daily basis.
He sighed, then picked up the phone.
