Christian was trying to pay one of their utility bills online, when a notice came up that he had insufficient funds to complete the transaction. Grunting to himself, he grabbed his phone and dialled.
"Yo?"
"Hey Steel it's me. Chris."
"Chris! Dude. Haven't heard from you since... I don't remember when I heard from you last. How's life?"
"Yeah not bad," Christian shrugged, "look I have a favour to ask, and seeing as you're eternally in our debt and everything..."
"What is it?" Kirk asked begrudgingly.
"Money," Chris shrugged to himself, "I seem to have depleted what I put away for myself before Dad died and I still haven't worked out all of his offshore accounts and such."
"Ah. Fair enough," Kirk nodded, "send through your account details and I'll top you up."
"Thanks. What's the email?" Chris wasn't overly confident at using computers, but he knew enough to send one of those off.
Kirk relayed it to him letter by letter so that he got it right.
"Ok cool."
"So where are you, anyway?" he asked.
"New York," Chris was concentrating more on what he was doing.
"New York? Well ain't that a step up. I heard they had some trouble securing your release date for a while."
"Yeah... that's what happens when some higher-ups have personal vendettas," Christian shrugged, "no big deal."
"So how does it work? I mean, what are you doing now that you're 'rehabilitated'? Are there ground rules to go with that?"
"Ok Steel. I'm having a bit of trouble here, and in order to not accidentally pay a $200 bill with $2000, I'm gonna hang up so I can concentrate."
"Ok well I have this number now. You'll be hearing from me."
"Bye," Chris hung up and got back to work.
