"Hey Scott, you wanted ta see me?"
Scott looked up at Rogue at the doorway.
"Yeah, come in," he said.
Rogue stepped inside, closed the door behind her and took a seat.
"Ah'm guessin' this is about the MAA stuff?"
"Yeah," Scott said, handing her a list. "This is a list of those we were planning on asking to join Team A, in order of preference. The Professor doesn't want me to talk to any of them yet, but I figured you should know who not to look at."
Rogue took the list and skimmed over it.
"Well, there's a big surprise, seein' Jean's name on there."
Scott chuckled.
"Is there really going to be that many people?"
"Well, no. We're really only looking at the top five - so there'll be six including me. But with the whole publicity side of it..."
"Not everyone's going ta want ta be on the team?" Rogue chuckled. "Yeah, Ah think the shadow team's gonna be a much, much better gig."
Scott laughed.
"And here I was relieved that I wasn't stuck doing it."
Rogue smirked at him.
"Were you looking at anyone in particular yet?"
"Ah'm really just gettin' started, but Ah'm pretty sure Ah'll ask for Whip and Mark."
"Whip and Mark?" Scott repeated, surprise clearly evident on his face.
"Ah know they've only just joined the ranks of the full time X-men," Rogue said. "But they both scored highly in muh espionage class and they work well together. What's more, their powers are rather suited to what's expected of the shadow team."
"Well, I suppose that's true, even if they are green."
"Ha, we're all green. This is gonna be new territory for all of us."
"And don't I know it."
