Natalie added the latest letter the the pile and eyes it speculatively. There were how many now? Fifteen? Twenty? They all seemed to be coming from the same person.
Maybe she should see someone about this. It was only letters, so she wasn't overly concerned. Still...
Taylor
"Hey," Taylor made his way into the kitchen to get a drink while on his break.
"The kids ok?"
Natalie
"Yep," Natalie replied. "Just put Penny down for a nap and Ezra's playing with his blocks."
She pursed her lips considering.
Taylor
Taylor grabbed a can from the fridge and looked up as he closed the door.
"You ok?" he asked, noting her expression.
Natalie
"Oh," Natalie said then gestured to the pile of letters. "Just sorta wondering if I should be worried about this."
She shook her head. They were just letters!
Taylor
"Oh. The pile," Taylor realised, putting on a spooky voice.
"Yeah, I'm guessing we've got just one crazy obsessive rather than a few stragglers. Maybe we should turn it over to the authorities."
Natalie
"Yeah," Natalie nodded. "Well, I don't know which is worse. One crazy or multiple weirdos. I mean, the multiple weirdos are kinda annoying but they never do anything, and we haven't really done anything to spur another wave of weirdos."
Taylor
Taylor hesitated, thoughtfully.
"Except have kids," he shrugged.
Natalie
"Well," Natalie considered. "I guess that's true. Lame, but true."
She nodded then sighed.
"Hmm, so police or YIRAAS?"
Taylor
"Tough call," Taylor slipped a candy in his mouth and started chewing.
"Nothing has insinuated power use as yet, but if they start using them..."
He shrugged.
"Maybe start with YIRAAS, and if that doesn't work we can move up?"
Natalie
"Yeah, it's kinda hard to say. I mean, I suppose technically it's a human matter but we are Dathrians... I don't know," Natalie shrugged. "I'll talk to YIRAAS and see what they say anyway."
Taylor
"I just figured," Taylor shrugged, "if it is an alien and we go to the cops, and then something gets out of hand and powers get used..."
Natalie
"Well, that's true," Natalie conceded.
She sighed.
"It's so hard to tell."
