"Hello?" Priestly said quietly, closing the motel door behind him.
"Hello, is this Zachary Efron?" came the voice on the other end of the line.
"Yes," he replied. "Speaking."
"Oh Zac! This is Madeline," she told him. "I just got a call from the casting directors for High School Musical."
Priestly closed his eyes, his hands sweating slightly. "Oh..."
"They'd like to offer you the part of Troy Bolton," she continued.
"Really?" Priestly's voice went up several octaves.
Madeline laughed. "Yes, congratulations, Zac."
After a few more minutes of finalising details, Priestly wandered back into the motel room in a slight daze, a huge grin pasted on his face.
"Morning Zeph," Faith greeted, coming out of the bathroom. "You're up early."
Priestly grabbed Faith into a waltz position and spun her around on the spot.
"I got it!" he whispered excitedly, careful not to wake Dean.
Faith grinned widely and pulled her son in for a hug. "Congratulations! Alright, I'll make something up to Dean and we'll have breakfast out."
Priestly was grinning from ear to ear. "Ok! Thanks Mama."
She laughed and bent down to wake Sam up, wanting to tell him before Dean woke.
Sam
Sam grunted in his seep, before his eyes slid open slightly.
"What? What is it?" he asked, sitting up.
Priestly and Faith
"Dad," Priestly whispered, the huge smile still on his face. "I got the part."
Faith ran her hands through Sam's hair. "We're going to get breakfast out in celebration. But we can't let on to Dean that it's a celebration."
Sam
Sam looked over at Dean in the other bed.
"He was out until at least three this morning," Sam nodded, "I think we should be right to sneak out."
Priestly and Faith
"Oh great," Priestly smiled in relief.
"Alright, both of you, get dressed and let's go," Faith ordered.
"God," Priestly grinned. "Mom, you're a hard ass."
Sam
Sam pulled a shirt on and grabbed his boots.
"You nervous?" he raised an eyebrow at Priestly.
Priestly
Priestly shrugged.
"Yes and no. I'm more excited at the moment."
Sam
Sam smiled, almost proudly, before standing up. He went to the fridge and pulled out a water bottle, throwing it to him.
"Let's go."
Priestly and Faith
Priestly caught the bottle easily and followed his parents out of the motel.
"K, pancakes?" Faith asked.
Sam
"Do we have time?" Sam checked his watch as he closed the door and headed for the impala.
Faith and Priestly
"Either that or we could go to McDonalds," Faith shrugged.
Priestly grinned. "Anything is fine."
Sam
"How about we just get there and see if there's anything nearby?" Sam suggested, starting the car.
He hesitated, watching the motel window for any sign of movement, before looking over his shoulder and pulling out.
Faith and Priestly
"So," Faith said, leaning back against the seat. "Who got Gabriella?"
"Oh, um," Priestly stuttered for a second. "Vanessa."
"Ooh, the cute brunette?" Faith asked.
Priestly blushed. "Yeah, the brunette."
Sam
"You be careful with her," Sam said with an underlying tone of warning.
Priestly and Faith
Priestly looked across at Sam.
"There's nothing to worry about," he insisted. "We're just going to be working together. Nothing more."
"Zeph, I know you're still kinda new at the girls thing, but she's into you," Faith told him. "What Sam's trying to say is... be gentle, don't tell her about our colourful family history and wear a rubber."
Sam
"Faith," Sam scorned.
Priestly and Faith
"Again with the sensitive parenting, Mom," Priestly said, blushing but also smiling at the same time.
"You and Dean are so alike."
Faith gave a mock gasp. "Take it back!"
"No way."
Sam
"Sorry, but it's true," Sam chuckled.
Faith and Priestly
"No way," Faith protested. "I'm way prettier than Dean."
Priestly grinned.
Sam
"I won't debate that," Sam chuckled.
