"Okay," Rogue said. "You may remember that at the beginning of the year I gave you all a bonus assignment."
There were some mild groans from the class and Rogue smiled.
"The assignment was to find the key with your name on it. I hope you've got those keys because I'm about to show you what they open."
Rogue opened up the cardboard box on the table and start pulling out small lockboxes.
"Those of you who have keys, grab your box and open it," Rogue grinned. "I'll be in the caf. Meet you there. For those of you who haven't found the key yet, you have until one to find it."
With a cheeky wave, Rogue left the classroom and headed down to the cafeteria. Kitty met her on the way, shaking her head.
"I can't believe you did that," she said. "Seriously, weren't you concerned about being spied on all year? I would have."
"Just a bit of fun," Rogue shrugged. "Besides, it's not like I live here, so there wasn't really any invasion of my privacy."
"I still think you're nuts."
Rogue chuckled.
"Going to do it again next year?"
"Not teaching the class next year," Rogue shook her head. "I'm focusing my energies on other things."
"Oh, that's right, I totally forgot. It's going to be weird you not teaching any classes."
"Weirder for me than for you, I imagine. I'm going to have all this spare time I didn't have before."
Kitty giggled.
