"Come on, kid," Faith grinned, nudging Priestly gently. "No better time to ensure you're one of us. There's nothing like embarrassing yourself in public to bond a family."
Priestly shook his head vehemently. "No, I can't."
"Aww, Zeph," she protested. "It's a rite of passage. Sam did it, drunk, of course, and Dean and I... we do it as often as possible."
"Please be talking about singing," Priestly grinned.
"Come on, we're doing it. I'll do it with you."
And with that, Faith grabbed Priestly's hand and dragged him up to the stage.
Dean & Sam
The Winchesters had gone to the bar to order some drinks when Dean hit his brother on the arm.
"Dude," he indicated the stage.
Sam turned in time to see Faith pulling Priestly up.
Priestly and Faith
"But I don't know any of these songs!" Priestly protested, tugging on Faith's arm.
"Neither do I," Faith murmured, going over the list. "Aha. Random pop song. Perfect."
"Mom, you hate pop songs," he insisted.
"I can put aside my belief system for a song with you," she grinned. "Besides, it's a duet."
She selected the song and wiggled her eyebrows at him as it started.
"Do you know what it's like
To feel so in the dark?
To dream about a life
Where you're the shining star
Even though it seems
Like it's too far away
I have to believe in myself
It's the only way..." Faith sang.
Priestly hesitantly joined her for the chorus.
"This is real, this is me
I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be now
Gonna let the light shine on me
Now I've found who I am
There's no way to hold it in
No more hiding who I wanna be
This is me..."
Priestly took Faith's hand and twirled her around, dancing along to the beat perfectly, before taking the lead on his solo. He grabbed the mic and tilted it forward with his foot, then brought it back, tossing it from side to side.
"You're the voice I hear inside my head
The reason that I'm singing
I need to find you
I've gotta find you
You're the missing piece I need
The song inside of me
I need to find you
I gotta find you..." He took Faith's hand again.
They repeated the chorus and then the song ended, Priestly beaming with excitement.
Dean & Sam
The Winchesters were staring with raised eyebrows.
"Did you...?"
"Yeah," Sam breathed.
Faith and Priestly
"Whoa," Faith grinned at her son as they left the stage. "Zeph!"
Priestly blushed slightly.
"Was that bad?"
Dean
"Are we really sure he's your kid?" Dean asked Sam semi-seriously.
Faith and Priestly
Faith ruffled Priestly's hair and he blushed harder, as they came back to the table.
"Well," she grinned, sliding into Sam's lap. "That was uexpected."
Priestly ducked his head slightly. "I don't know what just happened."
Dean & Sam
"You didn't happen to spend more time with that Zac kid than we were first aware, did you?" Dean raised an eyebrow.
"Dean," Sam scorned.
Faith and Priestly
Faith raised an eyebrow.
"What now?"
Priestly sat down beside Dean, and sipped at the drink they'd bought for him.
Dean
"The guy's in a band, isn't he?" Dean shrugged.
Faith
"Ohhh," Faith realised.
"No, Zac can't dance. Though... can Sam?"
Sam & Dean
"No," they replied in unison.
"Unless you count drunk dancing," Dean added.
Faith and Priestly
Faith grinned.
"Looks like you got another of my amazing skills," she told him.
Priestly blushed again.
Dean & Sam
"I didn't think of that," Dean looked at Sam.
"What?"
"Faith's a dancer, duh."
Faith and Priestly
"That's me," Faith smirked. "A Laker girl."
Priestly just looked confused.
Dean & Sam
"Yeah baby!" Dean shimmied his shoulders.
"So what was the idea back there?" Sam asked her.
Faith and Priestly
Faith shrugged.
"You're not really a Lehane or a Winchester until you've indulged in some public humiliation."
"Thanks, Mom," Priestly said dryly.
Dean & Sam
"True words," Dean slapped the table.
"I doubt that was very humiliating," Sam pointed out.
Priestly and Faith
"It was... at first," Priestly admitted.
"It was pretty impressive," Faith grinned. "Kansas! I think we need to carry on our tradition."
Dean
"So do I," Dean agreed, standing.
He held out his hand for her.
"M'lady," he grinned.
Faith and Priestly
"Good sir," Faith smirked, taking his hand.
Priestly looked at Sam.
"Are they always like this?"
Sam & Dean
"Yep," Sam sighed, having a drink as he watched them head for the stage.
Dean put the song in, after convincing the current singers that it was their time to retire, before handing Faith a microphone and helping her up onto the stage.
Faith and Priestly
Faith took the microphone Dean offered her, and stepped up next to him, grinning as the music started.
Priestly rasied his eyebrows slightly.
Dean & Sam
"Summer lovin', had me a blast..." Dean grinned.
Sam's head hit the table.
Faith and Priestly
"Summer lovin', happened so fast..." Faith sang along.
Priestly's reaction was much the same as Sam's.
Dean & Sam
"I met a girl, crazy for meeeeee..."
Sam drank more.
Faith
"Met a boy, cute as could be..."
Faith fluttered her lashes at Dean.
Dean & Sam
"Summer days..."
"I think I need something harder," Sam looked at his empty beer glass and back at the bar.
Faith and Priestly
".. drifting away, to ooh-oh those summer nights..."
Priestly chuckled.
Dean & Sam
"Oh wella wella wella - hmph! Tell me more tell me more..."
"That's it," Sam groaned, getting up and heading for the bar, "want anything?"
Priestly
"Whatever you're having!" Priestly called to him.
Sam & Dean
By the time Sam turned back around, Dean was doing the Egyptian.
He turned back to the bar, keeping his head down purposely, and ordered a couple of shots.
Faith and Priestly
Faith let Dean take her in his arms into the waltz position.
Priestly groaned.
Sam
Sam made it back to the table without spilling any of the four shots, and carefully puttwo down in front of Priestly.
"Cheers," he toastd, downing the first one.
Priestly
Priestly downed one shot, and shuddered slightly.
"Bleugh."
Sam
Sam chuckled at Priestly's discomfort.
"It only tastes crap before it goes down," he toasted the second one and downed that too.
He coughed after swallowing and slammed the glass down onto the table.
Priestly and Faith
Priestly coughed, and then drank the second one.
Faith grinned at Dean as their song finished.
Dean & Sam
Dean leaned over and kissed Faith before guiding her down from the stage.
"Hey," he raised an eyebrow when he spotted the shot glasses.
"Hey," Sam's speeched was already slurred a little.
Priestly and Faith
"Dad, I mean, Sam got me shots," Priestly chuckled.
Faith grinned. "Evidently."
She slid into Sam's lap.
Sam & Dean
Sam slid to the side a little, off balance.
"More shots!" Dean called to the barman.
Faith and Priestly
"Oh Jumbo," Faith said, standing to help Sam sit up straight again. "Such a lightweight."
Priestly giggled.
"Ah, like father like son."
Dean & Sam
"Now that's finally something amusing to inherit," Dean chuckled.
"What?" Sam frowned, confused.
"This could be fun," Dean winked at Faith.
Faith and Priestly
Faith grinned. "Oh, it will be."
Priestly pouted slightly.
Dean & Sam
The barmaid brought more shots over as requested, and Dean tipped her handsomely with a wink.
He distributed the four shots evenly between the four of them.
Priestly and Faith
Priestly downed his, then hiccupped.
Faith chuckled, downing hers with a twist of the hand.
"Kansas, you picking up tonight?"
Dean
"I dunno," Dean burped, putting his glass down.
"Something about the girls I pick up lately is freaking me out. But I dunno what."
Priestly and Faith
"Yeah," Priestly agreed. "They're all... you know."
Faith raised an eyebrow.
Dean & Sam
"Freakishly similar," Dean ended for him, taking a gulp of beer.
"And shockingly insensitive to my ride."
"Girls stop noticing your car and you're suddenly paranoid?" Sam's eyes wer barely open already.
"It's not that they're not noticing, it's... just... I can't explain it. It's just awkward."
Priestly and Faith
"Uh... you know they're all the same girl, right?" Priestly asked, squinting slightly.
Faith almost spat out her drink.
Dean & Sam
Dean glared at him and Sam just looked puzzled.
"What?" Dean asked.
Priestly
Priestly's eyebrows furrowed.
"Yeah, she's a shapeshifter. You didn't notice?"
Dean & Sam
Dean looked at Sam.
Sam stared back at him, then burst out laughing.
"How the hell do you know that?!" Dean demanded.
Priestly and Faith
Priestly just shrugged again.
"They were all kinda similar in habits and gestures and the slang they used. Oh, and telepathy. They all thought the same thing."
Faith snorted.
Sam & Dean
"Oh wow," Sam was practically giggling, "maybe this is what Chantelle was talking about...?"
Dean's eyes widened.
Faith and Priestly
Faith burst out laughing.
"Tremendous."
Priestly just looked between them.
"Chantelle?"
Sam & Dean
"There's this girl who's been hastling Dean for months," Sam laughed, "she has this web journal and constantly updates it saying how their relationship is going so well. But we haven't seen her since..."
"Tru's wedding," Dean scowled.
Faith and Priestly
Faith shook her head.
"Since we went to investigate that prank at Stanford," she corrected, in between laughs.
Priestly nodded. "Ah. Well, she was looking through porn mags to find Dean's dream girl."
Dean & Sam
"I feel used," Dean buried his head in his hands.
"How does she consider a first date every second night to be a substancial and understanding relationship?" Sam frowned.
Faith and Priestly
"She's dellusional?" Faith suggested.
Priestly shrugged.
"She pretty much thought that Dean could see through the different girls and knew it was her."
Dean & Sam
"She's a psycho," Dean shook his head.
"You just noticed now?" Sam leaned toward him, almost falling off the chair.
"We could always, you know, tie her up and leave her on a hospital doorstep."
"What?" Dean scorned, "you know that wouldn't work!"
"Couldn't hurt," Sam shrugged.
Priestly
"She might seek help if you told her you wanted it," Priestly suggested.
"She seemed pretty... devoted."
Sam & Dean
"Obsessed more like," Sam rested his head in his hand.
"But how am I gonna find her? I deleted her phone number ages ago," Dean frowned.
Priestly and Faith
"I'll know her the next time she pops up," Priestly said, shrugging again. "Her thoughts are pretty easy to pick out when she's around."
"Not that many girls pining away after Dean?" Faith teased.
Dean & Sam
Dean's eyebrows rose.
"I'll have you know I am sought after," he raised his chin ever so slightly.
Sam snorted.
Faith and Priestly
"Oh, I know," Faith nodded. "I am constantly pining over you. I'm doing it right now, in fact."
"She's not," Priestly said, rather unhelpfully. "She's... gross! Mom!"
"Stay out of my head then," she smirked.
"Stop thinking so loud! I'm not snooping on purpose!"
Sam & Dean
"I am so glad I don't have that ability," Sam smirked.
"I'm gonna go find myself a nice skinny blonde," Dean saluted to them, before getting up and disappearing into the crowd.
Priestly and Faith
"I didn't get that from you?" Priestly asked, looking at Sam.
Faith took another sip of her beer.
Sam
"Nope," Sam grabbed Dean's glass of beer.
"I can't see into peoples' heads. I just control their thoughts and actions."
Priestly and Faith
"Awesome," Priestly grinned.
"Oh good," Faith rolled her eyes good naturedly. "Two mindfreaks. Amazing."
Sam
"Wanna learn?" Sam smirked.
"But shhh! Can't tell Dean. He doesn't know about the mind thing and the things flying and anything but the demon squishing."
Priestly and Faith
"Ok!" Priestly was practically bouncing in his seat.
"Samwise?" Faith stood up. "Bond with your son, I'm going to dance."
She pressed a kiss against Sam's forehead and then left.
Sam
Sam ignored her and shifted over in his seat so he was closer to Priestly.
"Pick someone," he rubbed his hands together.
Priestly
"That guy," Priestly gestured with a nod of his head.
"That one."
Sam
Sam worked out who he was referring to, then squinted as he slipped into the man's mind.
The man turned to a girl beside him and suddenly started making out with her.
Sam broke out into chuckles.
Priestly
"Wicked!" Priestly exclaimed.
"But how...?"
Sam
"Wait wait..." Sam put his hand up as he kept watching.
That girl in turn turned around and started kissing another guy as the first went back to his business unaware.
"It's almost like you're functioning as a computer, controlling a robot wirelessly," he explained after his latest giggle fit.
"You just need to send your signal out. Feel out the movements with your own body without actually making them. Then send it to them. Try it!"
Priestly
"Ok."
Priestly's tongue slipped out slightly as he focused, trying to control the man he'd picked out.
Sam
"Don't concentrate so hard, you'll hurt them," Sam put a hand on his arm.
"Feel it, it's like slipping into them spiritually."
Priestly
Priestly nodded, trying to do exactly as Sam said.
"Ok..."
Sam
"Who is it?" Sam frowned, looking around.
Priestly
"The girl who is with Dean," Priestly giggled.
Sam
Sam scoffed.
"Have her grab his crotch," he encouraged.
Priestly
"Ok!"
Priestly kept his eyes on the girl and slowly, using what Sam had told him, made the girl reach over and grab Dean's crotch.
Dean & Sam
Dean just stood shocked as Sam broke into chuckles again.
"Well done," he nodded approvingly, "it's a shame Dean's used to it. Try it on someone else!"
Priestly
"Mom will probably hit someone if it happens to her, right?" Priestly asked, somewhat rhetorically.
He focused on another couple in the corner of the bar.
Sam
"I think so," Sam nodded thoughtfully, seeing where he was looking and continuing to pay attention.
"Let's see how many we can get aay with before people start to wonder."
Priestly
Priestly made the guy reach over and grab the woman's chest, and he chuckled when he saw her slap him.
"Fun!"
Sam & Dean
Sam laughed out loud.
"What's so funny?" Dean asked as here turned to the table.
"Some dude just got bitchslapped," Sam chuckled, "why are you here?"
Dean looked around.
"I'm not so sure I'm picking up tonight after all. I've turned paranoid." P>
Priestly and Faith
"She's not here," Priestly said to Dean, eyes scanning the room.
"Who's not here?" Faith asked, coming up behind Dean.
Dean & Sam
"Doesn't matter," Dean shuddered.
"Now I can't shake the feeling of being watched."
"We're always being watched. Cas, remember?" Sam pointed out.
Dean hesitated.
"Different feeling," he insisted.
Faith and Priestly
"Ah," Faith said, before slipping her arm around Sam's waist. "Well, I achieved my goal of getting Zeph to sing in public. We all good to go?"
Priestly nodded.
Dean & Sam
"I could go some tacos," Dean nodded.
"One more drink!" Sam insisted.
"We'll get you one to go Sasquatch," Dean patted him on the back.
Priestly and Faith
Priestly chuckled. "Tacos!"
"Alright, Mexican and some booze," Faith said, holding Sam's hand. "We'll stop off at a liquor store, so you can do shots off my body."
Sam & Dean
"I like you," Sam drawled, eyes almost closed as he leant in to her.
Dean rolled his eyes.
"Right. Tacos," he said decidedly, and led the way to the door.
Faith and Priestly
"I like you too, Jumbo," Faith grinned, helping him out the door.
Priestly rolled his eyes as he followed Dean.
