Two Years

Written by AiMsTeR and Nessa

Sam

Sam grinned as he handed Faith a red rose as they dined on a picnic blanket watching the sunset over the water.

"You look amazing this evening," he emphasised.

Faith

Faith smiled up at him.

"Thanks," she replied. "You don't look so bad yourself."

Sam

"I should hope not," Sam insisted.

"I wouldn't want anything to ruin tonight. Not even what I look like."

Faith

Faith leaned over and kissed Sam on the cheek.

"Nothing could ruin it, are you kidding? I'm with you."

Sam

"Good point," Sam nodded in agreement.

He lifted his glass and toasted to her.

Faith

Faith clinked her glass gently against his.

"So," she said, only just managing to keep a straight face. "What's the occasion?"

Sam

"You are," Sam teased, sipping the wine.

He looked out over the sunset as the bulb disappeared below the horizon.

Faith

Faith leaned against Sam for a second, sighing in contentment.

"You think you're gonna score tonight, don't you?" she teased back.

Sam

"Why, aren't I?" Sam mused.

Faith

"Maybe," Faith grinned.

She leaned over for a kiss.

Sam

Sam kissed her back, resting a hand on her jawline as he did so.

"Ready for dessert?" he licked his lips as he pulled away a little.

Faith

Faith nodded, smiling faintly.

"Indeed."

Sam

Sam picked up a dessert spoon and swirled it in the giant glass of mousse, before holding it out for her to taste.

Faith

Faith leaned in a little closer to put the end of the spoon in her mouth. She let the mousse sit on her tongue for a second before swallowing.

"So," she said, taking another spoon to feed some of the mousse to Sam. "You sick of me yet?"

Sam

"Would you be wearing this if I was?" Sam indicated the ring on her left hand, before taking the mousse and licking his lips appreciatively.

Faith

Faith grinned at him.

"Probably not."

Sam

"So there," Sam smirked, "don't worry. Tonight is all about you."

He delicately fed her some more mousse.

Faith

"It's about you too," Faith insisted.

She leaned against him.

Sam

"Yeah I know," Sam shrugged.

"But in my eyes, it's all about you."

Faith

Faith leaned over to kiss him.

"Awww, but to me, it's all about you. After all, two years ago, you picked me."

Sam

"I like to think you had something to do with it," Sam smiled charmingly.

Faith

Faith grinned at him.

"Oh really?"

Sam

"Well... you are the other half," Sam pointed out, eyebrows raised.

Faith

Faith smiled faintly.

"True," she nodded.

Sam

"Would you ever doubt me?" Sam mused, dipping his finger in the mousse and dobbing it on her nose.

Faith

Faith laughed and then dipped her own finger in mousse. She smeared it over Sam's lips, then leaned in and kissed him, licking the mousse off.

Sam

Sam grinned as he pulled away, and then kissed her nose to lick the mousse from there.

"I could see this getting very dirty very fast," he chuckled.

Faith

Faith laughed and reached over for another kiss.

"That's the plan though, isn't it?"

Sam

"Always," Sam chuckled, sliding his fingers through her hair and pulling her head in for a longer kiss.

Faith

Faith grinned into the kiss, slipping her arms around Sam's waist.

"I think you might like me, just a little," she teased.

Sam

"I think you might be right," Sam pursed his lips.

"But only by technicality."

Faith

Faith shrugged.

"I'll take any victory I can get."

Sam

"Want to go for a walk?" Sam indicated the beach below them.

Faith

"Sure," Faith said.

She got to her feet and brushed the back of her dress off.

Sam

Sam covered the leftover food before standing himself and taking her hand.

He led her down a nearby set of steps, before stopping to take off his shoes.

Faith

Faith stepped out of her high heels and bent slightly to lift them up.

She let out a chuckle, and glanced up at him.

"You know, when we first met, I thought you hated me."

Sam

Sam chuckled.

"I didn't hate you," he assured, "I just considered you another in Dean's long line of girls."

Faith

Faith grinned, and leaned into him as they walked.

"I just remember thinking you were this enormously tall kid, who was quite easy on the eye."

Sam

"And I remember you eyeing me off," Sam teased, squeezing her into him.

Faith

"Well yeah," Faith said in a 'duh' voice. "You looked in a mirror lately, Jumbo? You're quite the tasty treat."

She grinned up at him.

"Then I realised you were terribly polite and not a sexual predator. Which was... not completely disappointing."

Sam

"So are you disappointed in me now?" Sam grinned, leaning in to nibble at her ear.

Faith

Faith grinned and tilted her head slightly, to give him more access.

"Quite proud actually. At how much you've been corrupted."

She turned so she could catch his lips with hers.

Sam

Sam stopped walking so he could take her jaw in his hand and focus on the kiss.

When he pulled back he bit his lip and continued walking.

"I'm glad that you were the one doing the corrupting."

Faith

Faith squeezed his hand as they walked, and she wriggled her toes in the sand.

"Well, I like to think I'm a good teacher."

Sam

"I guess we'll soon find out for sure," Sam looked out across the water at some lit up ships.

"Priestly has a lot to learn after all."

Faith

"He seemed less emotional today," Faith said, glancing at Sam before returning her attention to the waves.

"Less glued to my side as well, which is good. We might as well face it, Sam, our son is a total mama's boy."

Sam

"Yeah I know," Sam sighed.

"And it's probably just as well."

Faith

"Don't be so sure," Faith said, shrugging.

"After all, if you go evil, it's to do with circumstances beyond your control. I went evil for fun. So... he's not really better off with either of our situations."

Sam

"No, but... he's better off with your support," Sam stopped her again to look into her eyes.

"He doesn't have that from me, and he knows it. Painfully obviously."

Faith

"I'm not great at this whole thing, Sam," Faith said honestly.

"I'm still struggling every day, and it's hard that he's relying on me. I don't know, maybe he should spend some time with Angel."

Sam

"Somehow I don't think he'd be very adverse to the idea," Sam considered.

"I know it's a burden, but he does need you. You seem to be the only one he trusts."

Faith

Faith tucked some hair behind her ears, and she shrugged again, before letting go of Sam's hand to wade into the water a little bit.

Sam

"What are you doing?" Sam watched after her, slightly amused.

Faith

"Frolicking," Faith grinned.

She went in a little further, water up to her knees now.

Sam

"Frolicking," Sam nodded.

"You spent too much time in Europe."

Faith

Faith grinned at him, her hands going to the bottom of her dress. She started pulling it up slowly, teasing him that she'd take it off.

"I spent way too much time in Europe."

Sam

"Yes you did," Sam nodded approvingly, debating whether to join her or not.

It looked... cold.

Faith

Faith pulled the dress over her head, and tossed it onto the shore.

She winked at him, and then dived under a wave.

Sam

Sam grabbed the dress and pulled it out of the way of the water, before sighing and pulling his shirt over his head. His shirt and singlet joined the dress, and in his jeans, he joined her in the water.

Faith

Faith resurfaced, blinking salt water away from her eyes. She grinned at Sam, then slid her arms around his neck. Her legs wrapped around his waist.

"Hi."

Sam

"Hi," Sam grinned, before ducking them both under the water.

Faith

"I see you've decided to join the frolicking," Faith grinned, as they resurfaced.

Sam

"I might have," Sam mused, kissing her softly.

Faith

Faith kissed him back, massaging the back of his neck.

"You just enjoy seeing me wet, Sam."

Sam

"Of course I do," Sam smirked.

"I've missed it a little."

Faith

"I know," Faith kissed his nose.

"Maybe we should get our own room every once in awhile, so we're not constantly tossing Dean and Priestly out."

Sam

"You think Priestly would let us?" Sam asked.

Faith

Faith shrugged.

"If he gets along with Dean tonight, maybe."

She paused.

"I'm sorry we haven't really had a lot of Faith and Sam naked time lately. Or alone time."

Sam

"Which are kinda the same thing," Sam shrugged.

Faith

"We'll have to resort to teenage style quickies," Faith teased him.

Sam

Sam sighed dramatically.

"The sacrifices you have to make when you have kids, huh?"

Faith

"Poor Sam," Faith teased.

"Should I make it up to you?"

Sam

"I think you should," Sam considered.

"What would you do for me?"

Faith

"Hmmm," Faith pretended to think for a minute.

"What would you want me to do?"

Sam

"Sex would be a good start," Sam suggested, leaning in to kiss her again.

Faith

"I think that could be arranged," Faith grinned.

She kissed him back, sucking on his bottom lip for a moment.

"Theme requests? Or regular sex."

Sam

"Any sex with you is good sex," Sam assured.

He looked around for a moment, took a step to the side, and dumped her into the surf.

Faith

"You're done, Winchester," Faith said, once she had resurfaced.

She approached him, running out of the water.

Sam

Sam saw her coming and bolted out of the water, starting to run down the beach.

Faith

Faith laughed and ran after him, catching up easily.

She lunged and tackled him down to the ground, pinning his hands above his head.

Sam

Sam leant up and locked his lips to hers.

Faith

Faith grinned into the kiss.

"Caught you."

Sam

"You caught me two years ago," Sam's eyes searched hers.

Faith

Faith leaned in and kissed him again.

"You're so soppy."

Sam

"I blame you," Sam insisted.

Faith

"Pfft," Faith said.

"No way. Not my fault."

Sam

"Well it's not my fault that you're irresistable," Sam pointed out.

Faith

"Ha, only irresistable to you," Faith grinned.

Sam

"I sincerely doubt that," Sam mused, kissing her again.

Faith

"Oh yeah," Faith chuckled. "Line around the block."

She kissed him back.

"Just as well I'm so fond of you."

Sam

"Just as well," Sam mused.

"Plan on getting off me anytime soon?"

Faith

Faith grinned cheekily.

"Well, I'm planning on getting you off, that's almost the same?"

Sam

Sam considered.

"I guess I could live with that," he reasoned.

Faith

Faith chuckled.

"Anything else planned or shall we head back to our motel?" she winked.

Sam

"Just a couple more things," Sam looked up to the nearby carpark.

A horse and carriage stood waiting for them.

Faith

"Pulling out the big guns, aren't you?" Faith teased.

She reached for Sam's hand.

Sam

"Only the best," Sam took her hand.

Faith

"I don't deserve you," Faith said to him, quite simply.

She reached up for a kiss.

Sam

Sam kissed her back, before taking her hand and leading her up the embankment.
