Avery closed her eyes for a long moment, tilting her head away from her laptop screen. She opened them and then blinked a few times, before leaning over to turn on the bedside lamp.
She silently mouthed the words as she read her assignment through, hoping it all made sense, because she had been working on finishing it for the last three hours, so her brain was feeling a little scrambled.
"Superconscious telepathy..." she murmured, before adding a few more sentences to the paragraph she was reading.
After a final spellcheck, Avery saved the document and shut the computer down.
