The Plot Thickens

George and Jack

" You're late," George told the younger man, as he got into the passenger seat of the car.

"Couldn't shake Tru," Jack shrugged. "She's getting suspicious. I'm cutting it close lately."

"You're also failing," George pointed out. "She's becoming a problem."

"How'd it go talking to her?" Jack asked.

George simply shook his head. "She's been too influenced by my daughter. We're doing it the hard way."

There was a long pause before Jack answered. "Are you sure? She is your granddaughter."

The older man shrugged. "No choice. She wants nothing to do with me."

"So when do we do this?"

"Not we," George corrected. "This one is personal. I'll take care of it myself."
