"Hi Da," Serafina said, hovering in the doorway of the new apartment.
Angel looked up and smiled faintly, then crossed the room in a few easy strides and wrapped his arms around his daughter.
"Hi Sunshine."
Luke stood awkwardly behind, not wanting to interrupt the moment.
"So, it was a success?" Sera asked, taking a deep breath to take in the scent of her father.
"It was," Angel replied. "The trip was good?"
"Not much demon activity," Luke spoke up. "We took care of whatever popped up."
"Good good, no injuries?"
"None that we couldn't heal," Sera answered. "Da, it's nearly dinner time..."
"I knew there was a reason you came back."
