"Excited?" Faith asked, settling down on the couch next to Angel.
The vampire handed her the bowl of popcorn. "We're recording this, right?"
Priestly and Vanessa both blushed.
"Naw, Faith!" Priestly shook his head. "It'll be out on DVD anyway."
Faith chuckled. "Come on, Zeph, let me do the proud family thing, ok?"
"It's kind of sweet," Vanessa giggled. "My parents are exactly the same. Mom's taping it, and she has the whole family over."
"See," Angel nodded. "We're not being unreasonable."
"Yeah, you are," Priestly argued good naturedly. "We do not need anyone else here, what if it's an epic fail?"
"Speak for yourself, buddy." Vanessa poked him in the shoulder. "I will be fantastic in this."
"I know," Priestly nodded, sliding his arm over her shoulders. "You were the star. You outshone the rest of us."
"I did," Vanessa laughed. "I was the best."
"Ssshhh," Faith said. "It's starting!"
The four of them settled in to watch the premiere of High School Musical on the Disney Channel.

A little over an hour and a half later, Priestly turned to his mother.
"Well?" he asked nervously.
"Terrible," Faith told him, then grinned and pulled him in for a hug. "It was awesome, Zeph."
"Thanks mama," he whispered in her ear.
"And you, V, you were definitely the star," she told the mutant.
"Thanks," Vanessa laughed. "I can't believe it's all done now. It felt so weird to watch it!"
"I like that kid who always wore hats," Angel piped up. "He was styling."
"I cannot believe you just used the word 'styling'," Faith told him.
And the four continued to banter through the night.
