Lo buzzed the doorbell at Avery's place and waited patiently for her friend to open the door.
"Hey," Avery greeted. She ducked to the side for a second to grab her wallet and swipe card. "Coffs?"
Lo nodded. "How are you holding up from last night?"
"Tired, but otherwise, top notch... how was Laguna this morning?"
The two girls walked down the hallway together, headed for the food level to get a coffee.
"It was... better than I thought it was going to be," Lo shrugged. "I think Patrick was just waiting for me to do it. I feel ok about it, surprisingly."
Avery smiled faintly. "Yeah, that's kind of how I felt after JD and I called it quits."
"Are we just... destined to be forever alone?" Lo asked, pressing the button for the lift.
Avery chuckled. "No, I think when we know, we'll know."
"You are very wise, Miss Avery."
"I have been told this once or twice."
