Lunch With Friends

Written by Nessa and Michelle

Avery and Lo

"Stone cold fox!" Matt called, whistling to get Avery's attention as he came up behind her.

"Am I meant to respond to that?" Avery grinned, turning slightly. She stopped walking to let him catch up to her.

"Yeah, man," Matt nodded. "You're looking good, Avie-Ave."

"I'm still not going to sleep with you," she laughed.

"I am offended," he replied, holding a hand over his head. "Offended that you think we would be doing any sleeping! OH YEAH!"

"What is he 'oh yeah'ing about now?" Josh asked as the pair approached the table.

"I bet it has something to do with sex," Lo chimed in. "It has to be. It's Matt."

Matt pulled a face. "I am not always thinking of sex."

"Whatever," Josh chuckled.

"I'm not! Sometimes I'm thinking about kissing," Matt defended.

"Remind me again why Lib hasn't suffocated you with a bubble?" Avery joked.

"Because I am so sexy," Matt nodded.

"Nah," Lo answered, waving her hand in dismissal. "I think it's because you're pretty passable at basketball, and she doesn't want to ruin the team winning streak."

"Meanie!"

Libby

Libby and Trent headed towards the eatery. Dan crossed paths with them on the way, and they ended up going the rest of the way together.

"There's Avie," said Libby, gesturing towards the table their friends were at.

"Excellent," said Trent.

They organised their food, and then joined their friends at the table.

"Hey all," said Libby.

Avery and Lo

"Libster," Avery greeted, nodding at the other boys. "How are tricks and sticks?"

"You're thinking of golf," Matt chuckled. "She plays basketball. They... have balls."

"Unlike you," Lo grinned.

Libby

"Absolutely," said Libby, sitting down with a big cheeky grin. "The women's basketball team has way, way more balls than you, Matt."

Dan snickered.

"That's not hard," said Trent.

"Of course it's not hard," said Dan. "He has no balls."

Avery and Lo

Matt opened his mouth and then closed it. Then grinned evilly. "I may not have balls, but I can still get hard."

Avery clapped. "Bravo."

Lo snickered. "Yeah."

Libby

"Of course, the downside there is that you have to take care it of yourself," Josh said.

"Argh no," Libby said, clamping her hands to her head. "Bad images. Bad images!"

Avery and Lo

Matt grinned. "Balls, balls. I'm good at taking care of it myself."

"I bet you are," Lo chuckled.

"Yeah, coz no one else wants to touch it!" Avery added.

Libby

"Nobody can touch it," said Trent. "It's too small. They need tweezers or something."

Libby giggled.

Avery and Lo

"Libby never complains about touching it," Matt winked, ducking to avoid the slap he figured was coming.

"You know," Avery mused. "I could probably neuter him with telepathy."

"Go on," Lo grinned.

"Yes, go on!" Dan chuckled.

"No, don't," Matt objected.

"Well, it's all in your brain, right?" Avery shrugged. "So, I could just block off his... arousal centre. So to speak."

Libby

Libby glared at Matt when he dodged her smack.

"I've a better idea," she said. "Instead of neutering him, why don't you remove his ability to speak?"

Avery and Lo

"I would, but he can still think things at me, and I'd rather not deal with it alone," Avery told her.

"Selfish!" Lo joked.

Matt lay his head on Avery's shoulder. "She just loves hearing my voice."

"Remove your head before I remove it," she warned, grinning.

"Yeah, do it, punk!" Josh joined in.

"Josh will move it, he's totes jelly right now," Lo put in.

"He's what?" Dan asked.

"Totally jealous!"

Libby

"Sure Matt," said Libby. "Avie loves hearing your voice. In fact we all do...when it's fading away in the distance."

Trent snickered.
