"So," Faith said, coming up behind Angel. "It's done and dusted."
She gestured over at the rubble that was once Wolfram and Hart.
Angel nodded. "That it is."
The Slayer reached over and slipped her hand into his. She squeezed it gently, and he looked at her in surprise.
"So," she said, smiling up at him. "Where do we go from here?"
"I guess we start again," he answered. "Back to the original mission statement... we help the helpless."
They stood in companionable silence for a few moments.
"So, you're off again?" he asked.
Faith shook her head. "I'll stay for as long as you need me."
