Reflections

Written by AiMsTeR and Nessa

Sam & Dean

Sam cringed as he heard the motor start up, and rolled over trying to fall asleep again. Realising only a moment later that it wasn't going to work, he sat up with a groan and rubbed his eyes.

He saw a shadow go past the window and got up to see what it was.

"What...?" he frowned, seeing what was across the road.

He left the room, called on Angel again, and headed out across the street.

"Dean!" he called when he spotted his brother, dressed in slacks and a polo shirt with his sunglasses on, "what's going on?!"

"We're putting in a pool!" Dean called back over the sound of the excavator.

"A pool?" Sam frowned, "in the front yard?!"

Faith and Angel

"It's going to look really nice," Faith said from her position on the sunbed on the driveway. She was laying out in a bikini, sunglasses covering her eyes.

Angel raised his eyebrows as he left the house, seeing the commotion at Faith and Dean's.

Sam & Dean

"You're kidding, right? A pool?" Sam scorned.

"Well, not a swimming pool," Dean scoffed, "it's a reflection pool. It'll be awesome, trust me. Real tranquil."

Sam looked across at Dean, then back at Angel.

"Angel? Help me here."

"You know we're leaving today, right?" Angel said.

Faith leaned forward and pushed her sunglasses up onto her head.

Dean & Sam

"We don't have to," Dean pointed out.

"You're kidding," Sam put his hands on his hips, "you guys wanna play house?"

"Why not?" Dean shrugged, "we've got the houses. Might as well stay here a while. And once we put the pool in..."

Angel and Faith

"But why would you want to stay?" Angel asked.

"I'm tired," Faith shrugged.

"And the pool is going to look really nice. Very tasteful."

Dean & Sam

"Yeah come on," Dean reasoned, "it's not like we have to be anywhere. And we just got rid of this demon last night. Let's catch up on sleep or something."

"That's what you're doing now?" Sam's eyebrows rose.

"Well... yeah," Dean shrugged, "preparing for it, anyway. We can sleep by the pool!"

Angel and Faith

"You can sleep in the car," Angel said. "And in LA."

Faith yawned, sliding her sunglasses back down.

"Well... I guess so."

Dean & Sam

"Maybe she can, but I can't," Dean insisted.

Sam folded his arms.

"Dean, why don't we just make a break for it and get this gig over with? I'm sick of this neighborhood already man."

"Fine, you go."

"You guys have the car."

Angel and Faith

"Faith," Angel said, glancing over a th sunbaking Slayer. "Go get packed."

Faith yawned and glanced at her watch.

"Sh-t," she said, turning to Dean. "We have breakfast wth the Klines in about ten minutes."

Dean & Sam

Dean checked his watch.

"You're right. Better leave Mikey to it," he nodded, before whistling to the ground worker to continue working.

"You'd better get dressed hon'!"

Sam's eyes widened, and he turned to Angel again.

"Did that demon somehow fry their brains?"

Faith and Angel

"Sure thing sweetie," Faith grinned.

She got off the sunchair and headed into the house.

Angel watched after her, a confused look on his face.

"I don't know."

Sam & Dean

"This could be serious," Sam insisted.

"What?" Dean had walked up behind Sam and made him jump when he spoke.

"You!" Sam insisted, looking him up and down, "you've gone mental!"

"I have not," Dean scowled, "I just want some time off from this whole apocalypse end-of-the-world crap."

"Newsflash Dean, we don't get time off from that."

"Well guess what? I'm taking it," Dean said decidedly, "time out Sam."

Faith and Angel

Faith appeared moments later in a sundress, her hair pulled back. She looked at Dean.

"Ready?"

Angel watched with raised eyebrows. "Guys? Packing time."

Sam & Dean

Sam blanched at the sudden sight of Faith, and was too shocked to talk for a moment.

"We're staying," Dean reiterated, before linking his arm in Faith's.

"Let's go," he gave her a smile, before leading her down the path.

Faith and Angel

Faith smiled up at Dean as they went down the path, heading for one of their neighbours places.

Angel just stared after them.

Sam

"That was weird, right?" Sam asked him once they were gone.

Angel

"That was weird," Angel agreed.
