Angel barely glanced up from the laptop as Sam started ranting like a crazy person. The younger Winchester brother had not left the window for the last hour, ever since the four of them had split off into their separate residences.
He was really starting to regret asking the Winchester brothers for help on this one. Maybe he should've just worked on this one with Faith. Though, then Sam probably would be ranting to Dean in some motel room. Only it would be worse because he wouldn't be able to spy on them. And why was he spying on them? He was beginning to think Sam was quite unbalanced. Even staying with Dean was looking like an appealing option at this point. Dean may have been annoying, but at least he wasn't a paranoid schizophrenic, which Sam evidently was.
Every so often, Angel made an affirmative noise, just to make Sam feel like he was talking to someone, rather than going on a long winded crazy monologue, though, it didn't appear that Sam needed any audience participation to keep going on the way he was going. Once that kid had a thought in his head, he didn't hold back, it seemed. He just ran with whatever entered his brain and made the situation worse and worse.
Angel sighed. This was going to be a long night.
