The Actual Plan

Written by Nessa and AiMsTeR

Angel and Faith

Angel looked up as Faith entered his office, Dean and Sam behind her.

"Morning Dark Avenger," she greeted, taking a seat on the arm of the chair she was expecting Sam to sit on. "What's the deal?"

"We've ironed out a few of the problems," Angel replied. "We've organised two houses, directly across the road from each other, and we'll pack cameras and survellience equipment so we can monitor each other at all times. The 'happy couple' - "

Faith smirked at Dean.

"Will be in the house the last couple disappeared from."

Sam & Dean

"So you'll have to scope it out. Check for anything abnormal," Sam insisted.

"I know how to investigate a house, Sam," Dean scorned.

Sam opened his mouth to reply, and closed it again.

Angel and Faith

"And Sam and I will be across the street," Angel went on.

Faith refrained from saying 'the other happy couple', as Sam looked paranoid enough.

"Five by five, so when do we leave?"

"Tomorrow?"

Sam & Dean

"Tomorrow?" Sam echoed.

"Awesome," Dean nodded, "I'll prep the impala."

Angel and Faith

"Ah, about that," Angel said, not looking pleased about having to break this news to Dean. "We're... actually thinking something more... wholesome America in terms of the vehicle."

"Oh please," Faith grinned. "Tell me it's a people mover."

"Not quite."

Dean

The colour began to drain from Dean's face.

"You telling me I can't take my car?"

Angel and Faith

"Uh... no," Angel said, almost wincing.

Faith held back a laugh. "What are we driving?"

"You'll ah... be driving a Prius."

Dean & Sam

"Oh no, no, I can't drive that," Dean was backing up.

"Dean-" Sam tried.

"No!"

"It'll only be a couple of days," Sam reasoned, secretly thinking of it as payback already.

Angel and Faith

"We've organised it already," Angel said, shrugging.

Faith grinned. "Think of it as you doing your part to save the environment, Dean. And if you like, I'll be the kind of wife that wears very little to bed."

Sam & Dean

"No you won't," Sam insisted.

"I think I'm gonna be sick," Dean covered his mouth with the back of his hand, still stepping backwards.

"Car aside, what else do we need to be aware of?" Sam asked.

Angel and Faith

"The rules," Angel said, gesturing to the textbook. CC and R's. My guess is all of these disappearing couples did not adhere to the guidelines."

Faith groaned. "Studying is so not my forte."

Sam

"Apparently it's mine," Sam stepped forward and picked the book up.

He opened the first couple of pages.

"...Mailboxes must remain upright and be painted a specific shade of 'Desert Sage' with white mail posts, red flags, and black name plaques with white text. This is the second page, what the Hell?"

Faith and Angel

"Awesome, that doesn't sound Stepford-y at all," Faith commented.

"Ok, so, Sam can study the book and I will..."

"You and Dean will head over to Cordy's office to get fittings for your new wardrobe," Angel told her. "Have you guys picked out your names?"

Sam

Sam looked at Faith, then at Dean... who was no longer in the room.

"Where'd he go?" Sam frowned.

Faith

Faith shrugged. "Guess it's my wifely duty to go find him."

Sam

"Nevermind," Sam rolled his eyes, still looking through the book.

"I don't care about names, Dean won't either."

Faith and Angel

"Alright," Faith said, standing up. "I'm going to let Cordy go to town with my wardrobe."

She kissed Sam on the cheek before heading out of the office.

Once Faith was gone, Angel glanced at Sam.

"You ok with this?"

Sam

Sam hesitated for a long moment before answering.

"I guess I'll have to be," he shrugged finally.

Angel

"Only for a few days," Angel reminded him.
