Faith opened her eyes slowly and groaned slightly. She reached up tiredly and rubbed her nose, then glanced over to see Sam sitting by her bed again.
"Hey," she said, her voice slightly raspy. "Did you stay here all night?"
Sam
"Not all night," Sam shrugged.
"I did need coffee at some point."
He smiled a little, knowing how ridiculous he sounded.
Faith
Faith smiled faintly, and reached one hand out for Sam.
"Oh, well, I'm glad you stayed caffeinated," she nodded. "That is important, after all."
Sam
"Very important for the lone wolf vigil," Sam smirked.
"How you feeling today?"
Faith
"A little out of it, but otherwise, I'm of the good."
Faith smiled at him.
"How long was I out?"
Sam
"A day or so," Sam shrugged.
"Apparently you were attacked with an axe. Whoever it was got you good in your side, and did something to slow the healing process too. We're not quite sure what to make of it."
Faith
Faith shrugged.
"Well, I feel fine now. Just groggy, but I'm tipping that's because of the drugs."
She paused.
"An axe? I think... I think I remember that vaguely. How did you find me?"
Sam
Sam looked sheepish.
"I'm not all that sure, to be honest. I just sorta... knew where to go? But the healers here were working on you again last night so you should be good by tonight," he quite obviously brushed over.
Faith
Faith raised an eyebrow.
"Alright, well..." she paused for a moment. "I guess that's good. The leaving tonight, I mean. Hospitals and I... we don't really click."
Sam
"I've noticed," Sam teased.
"Want something to eat or drink? I should go let Angel know that you're awake."
Faith
"Mmm, yeah, some water would be good. And food, but later, I'm not overly hungry right now."
Faith sat up a little higher.
"So, when can we go?"
Sam
"Later," Sam said insistantly as he stood, "Dean's on his way with the car and we'll leave when he gets here. Back soon."
He made his way down to the cafeteria, stopping by Angel's office on the way to let him know she was awake. He quickly fetched a water for her and a few nibbly foods for both of them before heading back up.
Angel and Faith
Angel was already in Faith's room by the time Sam got back with the food.
"How are you feeling?" he asked.
"Like I got stabbed with an axe and then spent two days recovering," Faith grinned. "I'm ok."
Sam
"And getting better," Sam smiled as he walked in.
He went and handed the water bottle to Faith before taking his place in the chair beside her again.
Faith and Angel
Faith unscrewed the cap and took a long sip.
"You ready to head out now?" Angel asked, standing by the end of the bed.
"Definitely," she replied, nodding.
Angel smiled slightly. "We'll keep you for a few more hours, just to make sure, then we'll send you off as soon as Dean gets here."
Sam
"You'll have someone come in and check on her wound, right? Or what's left of it by then?" Sam looked up at Angel.
Angel and Faith
Angel nodded. "I'll have someone check in about an hour or so. Are you in any pain?"
Faith shook her head. "Nope. No need for meds. Though... will take some valium to go. Xanax?"
"You're a junkie," the vampire smiled. "I'm not enabling the habit."
Sam
"And neither am I," Sam smirked.
"We've got painkillers. In the form of alcohol."
Faith and Angel
"But I like Xanax," Faith insisted. "It's soothing."
Angel chuckled. "No. You'll have to wait until Tru is a doctor. Then she can enable your habit."
Sam
"Don't encourage her!" Sam scoffed.
Faith
"Eh, I already had that planned."
Faith grinned.
