Tru tilted her head slightly, pulling one of her headphones out. She paused her music, listening intently, and hearing the noise again.
Slowly, and somewhat reluctantly, she got up from her seat in the warm and well lit office, and made her way across the hallway to the morgue.
"Hello?" she called out.
She squinted, thinking she could hear whispers from one of the drawers. She walked up to it and took a deep breath, shaking her head and trying to convince herself she was being ridiculous. Still, the thought lingered, and she opened the door, pulling the table out.
Nothing.
She shook her head, almost laughing at her own paranoia. She slid the drawer back in and closed the door.
As she went to leave the morgue, she passed the body that had come in earlier that night. Her eyes widened, hearing the whispers again.
Tru carefully lifted the sheet off the face of the body and almost fell back in shock when the girl turned to her.
"Help me."
