Faith sat up straighter as they neared the building the Dollhouse was located in. A smile spread across her face.
"Here," she said, then pointed. "Around there."
Dean & Sam
The brothers spared each other a glance, and Dean spun the car to take it around back.
He pulled up out front of a tunnel-like driveway.
"So that's it?" Sam sighed.
Faith
Faith nodded, her smile fading a little when she looked at Sam.
"This is my home."
Sam & Dean
"Not it's not," Sam insisted.
"It's a death factory," Dean was staring at it with contempt as a black van drove in.
Faith
Faith watched as Joe and Sierra got out of the van and she smiled again.
"It's Sierra," she said, reaching for the door handle.
Sam
Sam took hold of her wrist and moved it back to her side.
"I'm willing to bet she's brain-fried too," Dean almost growled.
Faith
Faith rubbed her wrist, looking up at Sam with hurt in her eyes.
"I want to go back."
Sam & Dean
"Well you're not," Sam said matter-of-factly, even making Dean give him a glance to make sure his brother was still there.
Faith
"I am," Faith protested.
She reached across again to open the door.
Sam
Sam took her wrist again, this time holding her longer and inadvertantly brusing her arm.
"Sammy," Dean began in a warning tone, making him let go.
Faith
Faith's eyes filled with tears and she gingerly touched her wrist.
"I want to leave now," she told him. "I want to go home."
Dean
"We're leaving," Dean assured, pulling the car out from the curb and rolling down the street.
Faith
"No!" Faith cried.
"Go back! I have to go in for my... let me go! I don't want to stay with you!"
Dean & Sam
"If you want us to chain you down, we will," Dean said sternly, "but you're staying."
Sam was staring out the window, biting his fingernails.
"It was a mistake coming here," he shook his head.
"We found it, didn't we?" Dean scorned, "and maybe we found our way in. We just need to plan something out. It was worth it."
Faith
Faith wrapped her arms around her chest, tears streaming down her face.
"I hate you," she said angrily.
Dean & Sam
"Yeah you normally do anyway," Dean rolled his eyes as he pulled out onto the main street.
"What are we gonna do?" Sam asked, not averting his gaze for fear of using his powers.
"I think we should track down the cowboy for a start," Dean suggested, "second to that, we infiltrate."
"How? It's bound to be a fortress," Sam scorned.
"Since when has that bothered us?" Dean scoffed.
Faith
"I can walk in. Let me go in. Please!"
Faith's lip trembled and she rocked back and forth on the seat, close to having a breakdown.
Dean & Sam
The boys ignored her.
"So how do we find Lindsay?" Sam asked.
"I don't know," Dean shrugged, "but I don't doubt he's skulking around somewhere like the trash he is."
Faith
Faith lashed out suddenly, hitting Sam on the arms, chest, wherever she could reach. She cried while doing so, chest heaving with sobs.
Sam, Dean & Castiel
Sam caught her with his telekinesis at first, then with his hands.
"Stop it," he glared darkly.
"Dude?" Dean was glancing across, and trying to keep his eyes on the road.
"We're cool," Sam insisted.
"Oh yes, I can see that," came a voice from the back seat suddenly.
Faith
Faith stayed silent, refusing to look anywhere but out the front window.
She folded her arms over her chest.
Sam & Dean
"Castiel?" Sam turned in his seat, panicking for a moment that his power use had brought him there.
"What are you doing here?" Dean kept his concentration on the road, keeping an eye on the rear view mirror.
"I heard you were having... problems," Castiel said cryptically.
"These problems aren't of your concern," Dean scowled.
"They are when these problems keep you from focusing on the big picture," Castiel reasoned, "more seals are being broken, and our faith in you to be at the forefront of this army is wavering the longer you are out of the game."
"So you're here to tell us to pull our thumbs out of our ass and get back to hunting demons?" Dean demanded.
"I'm simply here to hurry the process along so that you can return to your assigned duties," Castiel nodded.
"By doing what?" Sam asked, looking worried still.
Castiel turned his head to look at him for the first time.
"By telling you where to find Lindsay McDonald."
Faith
Faith turned at that, recognising the name. She eyed Castiel blankly.
"They won't let me go," she said to him. "Could you help me?"
Castiel
Castiel stared at her a moment, then slowly leant forward and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"God is with you, child. Have faith, and you will be redeemed. Have trust in those around you and they will keep you safe."
Faith
Faith smiled at Castiel.
"Thank you," she said softly.
Dean & Castiel
"So where is he?" Dean asked.
Castiel nodded at Faith reassuringly before sitting back again to be in Dean's eyeline.
"Lindsay is in Los Angeles. He has an apartment there," he said.
"Where?" Dean demanded.
"Corner of Fifth and Waterman. Third floor. You'll see the mailboxes."
"Thankyou-" Sam turned to thank him, but he was gone.
"I guess we're heading back to LA," Dean sighed.
Faith
The warm feeling Castiel had cast on Faith started to wear off once she realised she was alone with Sam and Dean again.
She turned back to the front, hugging herself.
