Zac knocked on the door to the sharehouse, a bouquet of flowers resting in the crest of his arm. The door opened, and the girl looked him up and down.
"Aww, flowers for me?" she said playfully as she let him in. "No really, Zac, you shouldn't have. What would Kate say?"
"It's not good to have flowers in the bedroom when you're asleep on account of pollen?" Zac suggested.
Kate
"Hey Kate!" the girl called through the house.
"No," Kate called back. "Whatever the question is."
The girl turned back to Zac and smiled at him, pointing down the hall.
"Her room... well, you probably know? First on the left."
Zac
Zac chuckled.
"Thanks," he replied.
He headed down the hall, stopped at Kate's door and knocked.
Kate
"Come in," Kate called.
She sat at her desk, looking at her prints from the shoot on her laptop.
Zac
Zac opened the door and stepped inside.
"Hey beautiful," he said cheerfully.
He held the bouquet out to her.
"Present!"
Kate
Kate turned around from her desk to see Zac holding flowers out.
"Hey," she grinned.
She got up and went over to hug him.
"Thanks."
Zac
Zac hugged her back and kissed her cheek.
"You're welcome," he replied. "So, how you doing?"
Kate
"Well, much better now," Kate smiled.
She kissed him softly.
"Are you hungry? Because I am."
Zac
"Sure," Zac nodded. "Oh you mean for food. Yeah I'm hungry for that too."
He grinned mischeviously at her.
Kate
"Food first, sex after."
Kate nodded.
Zac
Zac sighed dramatically.
"Well, if you insist," he said, grinning.
He held his elbow out to her.
"So, where would you like to go?"
Kate
Kate shrugged.
"Anywhere that looks good?"
Zac
"Sure, I can work with that," Zac nodded. "But... what if it looks good and turns out to be ugly, ugly, ugly?"
He looked at Kate with wide eyes and a silly grin which spoiled the effect.
Kate
"Then I'll divorce you."
Kate nodded.
Zac
Zac opened up his mouth to reply, paused, then shook his head.
"Okay, well, sounds like a plan then," he said finally.
Kate
Kate grinned slightly.
"Come on."
Zac
And so they departed for dinner, found a nice place (so Zac didn't have to worry about whether Kate was being serious or not) to eat, before coming home again. And did fun married couple stuff.
