You Stole Something

Dean & Sam

"This is it," Dean looked across at the club.

"Why would he be here?" Sam looked confused.

"Who knows what's going on in his head," Dean shrugged, "besides... cell phone says so. And he last used it five minutes ago."

Sam took a deep breath.

"You ok?" Dean asked him, "if you wanna sit this one out..."

"No. No, I'm coming," Sam nodded, before making his way across the street.

They flashed one of their IDs and got in, hearing some familiar music playing from the band stage. They immediately began scoping the place, taking different directions around the room while still remaining in eyeline of one another. Dean caught sight of Lindsay the moment Sam saw who was onstage.

"Ty?" he frowned, as Dean tried to get his attention.

Dean eventually gave up trying to be subtle and dug out is phone to message his brother. Sam, finally distracted long enough to check it, caught sight of Dean again and saw Lindsay where he'd indicated.

They slowly moved in, Dean the first to sit at Lindsay's table as Sam hung back.

"Hey there," he smiled amicably.

Ty and Lindsey

Ty glanced his brothers way and his shoulders tensed slightly. Though he knew that he and Lindsey... ok, he was more than enough match for the both of them, it really wouldn't help to have Dean or Sam make the family connection.

"Always nice to see old friends," Lindsey drawled, taking a sip of his beer.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Dean

"Oh I think you know," Dean squinted a little.

"Tell us where Faith is and we won't have a problem here."

Lindsey

"If you've misplaced the girl, that's hardly my fault," Lindsey replied, leaning back in his chair.

"Though in my experience, some people just don't want to be found. Maybe she's tired of you."

Dean & Sam

"How stupid do you think we are?" Dean scorned as Sam tensed behind Lindsay.

"We know you swapped them. And we know you're holding Faith. Now, where?"

Ty and Lindsey

"They won't try anything in here," Ty told Lindsey. "Too crowded, and they're not exactly favoured by the authorities."

Lindsey smiled pleasantly.

"Hey, feel free to check my apartment, I'm not holding Faith. She's happy where she is, I'd imagine, or she'd come back to you."

Dean & Sam

"She's only not with us because you're holding her captive. We know you Lindsay," Dean scorned.

"Just tell us where she is and we'll go," Sam promised.

Lindsey

Lindsey glanced at his watch to check the date.

"Hmm, Friday night... afraid I'm not sure where she might be."

Dean

"Cut the crap or I swear to God, you will not make it through that door intact," Dean's voice lowered.

Lindsey

Lindsey just gestured around.

"Leave now or I'll find your Slayer and pull the plug."

Sam & Dean

"What do you mean?" Sam demanded, moving closer as Dean frowned.

Lindsey

"If I do have her, what do you think is going to happen to her if you do something to me?" Lindsey said, laying his hands on the table.

"I get hurt, she gets hurt."

Dean

"Then why don't we flay some of your skin off and see what happens?" Dean mused.

Lindsey

"Hey, if you never want to see her again, go ahead," Lindsey replied.

"Not to mention... I'll blow this place up too. I can live with that. But can you?"

Dean & Sam

"You know what? I just might," Dean considered.

"Dean-" Sam frowned.

"He's bluffing," Dean scorned Sam, "he'd die too, and he's too vain to let us decide his fate. Especially in a hole like this."

Lindsey

Lindsey shrugged.

"If I die, Faith dies with me. You'll never find her without my help."

Sam & Dean

"Actually, I think we can," Sam looked to Dean.

Dean frowned, confused. Sam indicated for him to stand, and he did so.

"We'll be seeing you around," Sam nodded to Lindsay, before leading his brother away.

"That's it?" Dean hissed over his shoulder.

Lindsey and Ty

"Good luck with that," Lindsey replied, saluting.

Ty just raised his eyebrows at his brother.

Sam & Dean

Sam waited until they were outside the club.

"What the hell was that?" Dean demanded.

"We've found her once before, we can do it again," Sam insisted.

"You're talking about the professor, aren't you?" Dean realised.

"Yeah. But I need to work it so that Logan doen't get involved this time," Sam looked torn as they walked down the street.

"I hear you," Dean nodded, "ok. If Lindsay's still in town I'm betting she's nearby, so a phone call might work better than a visit..."

Ty and Lindsey

Ty finished his set, then walked over to join his older brother at the table.

"How easy is it to find out about them?" he asked.

"Near impossible," Lindsey. "You need to know someone who knows about it. And they can't track with telepathy either, because she's a clean slate."

Ty grinned and clinked his beer against Lindsey's.

"Nice."
