Echo blinked to clear the sleep from her eyes. She lifted her wrist tiredly and glanced at her watch.
4am.
She slipped out of bed, careful not to alert Sam to her actions, and she silently dressed, before packing what little of her belongings were out of her bag. She winced slightly, the sound of the bag zipping abnormally loud in the quiet room.
She had almost made it to the door when the change in breathing patterns alerted her to the fact someone had woken up.
Dean
"And where are you going?" Dean grumbled, sitting up and rubbing his face.
Echo
"Away," Echo said, shrugging slightly as she adjusted the bag on her shoulder.
"See ya."
Dean & Sam
"Not so fast," Dean slid out of bed and was against the door in seconds.
"Where?"
Sam murmured from the bed, eyes opening slowly.
Echo
"Somewhere not here," Echo said. "The ball's over. Time for Cinderella to leave."
She reached for the doorknob.
Dean & Sam
"Well not right now she isn't," Dean folded his arms across his chest.
"What's going on?" Sam asked tiredly, sitting up and turning the light on.
Echo
"I'm not a prisoner," Echo told Dean. "I'm leaving. Now in fact."
She didn't even spare Sam a glance.
Sam & Dean
"Just let her go," Sam shook his head.
"She's going for good, Sam," Dean said sternly.
"What?" Sam frowned, "why?"
Echo
Echo shrugged.
"I've done all I can here."
Sam & Dean
"What?" Sam had pulled himself from the bed.
"What do you mean?" Dean frowned, "we've barely scoped out our next case, and you're bailing?"
Echo
"Seems like," Echo replied.
"So, are you going to move or am I going to have to move you?"
Sam & Dean
"Hey," Sam said softly, touching her shoulder as Dean stood his ground.
"What's going on with you? Did something happen that we don't know about?"
Echo
Echo shrugged him off.
"No, I just can't stay here anymore. I can't breathe in this room."
Dean & Sam
"So you just decide to ditch us?" Dean scowled, "without even telling us?"
"Dean shut up," Sam insisted, "what do you mean? You know we could just take off if it's the motel. Or the town."
Echo
"It's not the... it's you, Sam."
Echo looked at him for the first time.
"I can't breathe with you here. I feel like you're suffocating me."
Sam
"What?!" Sam exclaimed.
"Where is this coming from? You've barely spoken to me for days, how could I suffocate you?"
Echo
"I don't want this anymore," Echo replied.
"You once told me you'd understand if I needed to leave, you got the free spirit thing. So, understand it now."
Sam & Dean
Sam's bottom jaw jutted, then he looked at Dean.
"Move," he ordered.
"Sam..." Dean looked confused.
"Move before I move you," Sam's voice lowered.
Dean put his hands up in surrender and stepped aside.
"Go," Sam turned his back on her, going back to the bed.
Echo and Lindsey
"Finally."
Echo hitched her bag up again, before opening the door. She walked outside, heading directly for the van parked in the lot across from their room. Boyd caught her in the middle, and took her arm.
"Are you ready for your treatment?" he asked.
"Yes," Echo replied.
Lindsey climbed out of the back of the van, heading for the drivers seat.
Dean & Sam
"What was that?" Dean demanded, "you just let Faith walk off?"
Sam turned back.
"That wasn't Faith," he practically sneered.
"What do you mean? She's just a little-" Dean turned to look out the window, just in time to see Lindsay's silhouette.
"...Son of a bitch."
