Ty waited until Sam and his little demon friend were out of sight before he got out of his car. He picked the lock on the motel room door, then walked in, smirking again over the fact that both brothers had left leaving the still sick Slayer with no protection at all.
He slipped into her mind, controlling her reactions and impulses, before lifting her easily into his arms, and leaving the motel again. He strapped her into the passenger seat in the car, before sliding into the drivers side and taking off to go meet with Lindsey and DeWitt.

"And you're fine with this?" Adelle asked Faith, who was, unbeknownst to her, still under Ty's control.
"Definitely," Faith replied, nodding.
Lindsey glanced at Ty, who smirked and shrugged.
"I'll just need you to sign here," Adelle told her, handing her the contracts and a pen. I'll give you a few minutes to go over them."
"Thank you," Faith said.
Adelle stood, and walked over to the brothers, who were standing in the adjacent room.
"It's uncanny," Adelle breathed. "The resemblence between the two."
Lindsey nodded. "That's why we came to you. We need someone who cal fit the part. Flawlessly."
"What will happen with Faith while she is here?" Ty asked, glancing at Adelle.
"She may be hired on engagements," Adelle replied. "She's signing herself over to that. Echo is requested often, and if she is to be replacing her for a few months, then I forsee Faith will have to complete her end of the bargain."
"And that's all in the contracts?" Lindsey pressed.
"Yes," Adelle told him. "I have explained it all with her, and she seems very willing."
"So, how does this work? Echo will take on Faith's memories?" Ty asked. "And also, I don't see Faith willing to take on engagements and just hanging out here peacefully."
"We will be turning Faith into one of our actives. In their resting state, our actives are as innocent and vulnerable as children," Adelle explained. "We call it the tabula rasa. The blank slate. Now imagine the imprint process filling it, creating a new personality. A friend, a lover, a confidant in a sea of enemies. Your heart's desire made flesh. And when the engagement has been completed, all memory of you and your time together will be wiped clean."
"Well," Lindsey nodded. "That seems ideal."
"Quite," she said.

"Hello Faith," Topher said, nervously looking up at the Slayer.
Faith nodded pleasantly, and lay down in the chair. It reclined and she placed her hands on the pads on the side.
"This may pinch a little," he told her, attaching the appropriate equipment to her chest and head.
He went over to his computer and typed a few things in, before the headpiece of the chair lit up and Faith winced and moaned in pain.

"You're going to need to control her right away," Lindsey murmured to Ty.
"I know," Ty snarked.

"Hello November," Topher said to Faith, who was sitting up slowly.
"Did I fall asleep?" Faith asked.
"For a little while," he replied, smiling at her.
"Shall I go now?" she questioned.
"If you like," he said, gesturing to the door.
Faith got up slowly and walked across the room to the door. She turned and looked at him, and he nodded, and she turned away again. She opened the door and left, walking slowly down the stairs.

Lindsey and Ty watched in amazement as she joined the other actives in their Tai Chi session.
"Awesome," Ty grinned.

"Hello Echo," Topher greeted. "Are you ready for your treatment?"
Echo smiled faintly, and sat down in the chair. It reclined slightly, and she clenched her fists.

Ty guided Echo back to the motel room, not wanting to risk being caught - she'd been missing for enough time as it was, and if Sam or Dean had come back, he didn't fancy being around for that.
Once he was back in his car, he lifted his prescence from her mind, and watched as she shook her head in confusion, and walked into the motel room.
