Interrogation (and avoidance)

Written by Nessa and AiMsTeR

Faith and Liam

Faith yawned, sitting at the kitchen table while Liam was making a pot of coffee.

"Good sleep?" he asked.

"Yeah," Faith replied. "Always nice to be in a comfortable non lumpy motel bed."

Liam grinned. "I bet. I don't know how you do it."

She shrugged. "You get used to it."

Sam

"And by sleeping on me half the time," Sam rolled his shoulder, coming into the room.

"Morning," he greeted, kissing Faith's forehead.

Faith, Liam and Tru

"That's because you take up most of the bed, Jumbo," Faith countered, smiling up at him.

"Ah, it must be love," Liam joked. He set the pot of freshly brewed coffee onto the table, and pulled out the milk and sugar, along with enough mugs for everyone.

"Morning," Tru said, sleepily padding into the kitchen. "Mom, you get up way too early to start exercising. I heard you leave to go for a run."

Faith grinned. "Yeah, I know. This one tells me all the time."

Sam

Sam nodded in agreement.

"Morning Tru."

Tru, Faith and Liam

Tru smiled at Sam, before walking over to the fridge and pulling out the bag of bagels.

Faith took this as her cue and stood, trailing her hands across Sam's shoulders as she went past him. She pulled the bacon and eggs from the fridge also, and made her way over to the barely used stove.

"Thank God," Liam said, grinning. "Someone who knows how to use the stove."

Faith grinned and took a frying pan out of the cupboard. She lit one of the burners and put the pan on the plate, before yawning and starting to cook the bacon.

Sam & Dean

"Only because it's bacon," Sam mused.

"Someone say bacon?" Dean appeared in the doorway, eyes still in slits and hair... well, you know.

Faith, Tru and Liam

"Yeah," Faith said, glancing at Dean. "Morning sunshine."

"Got a late night text from Chantelle," Tru told Dean. "Evidently, she saw you last night."

Liam grinned, pouring a mug of coffee for Tru.

Dean & Sam

Dean stared at Tru sleepily, then turned and left the room.

"I think he's goingback to bed," Sam chuckled.

Tru, Faith and Liam

Tru grinned. "Well, it's true. I did get a message."

Faith laughed, and scooped the bacon out onto some paper towels to drain, before whisking the eggs in a bowl and pouring them into the fry pan to scramble them.

Liam cut the bagels and started toasting them.

"So, you guys gonna talk to everyone today?" Tru asked.

Sam

"We'll definitely try," Sam nodded.

"Whether we do or not is another thing entirely. But it's been a while since anyone was attacked, so we're not too worried."

Tru, Faith and Liam

Tru nodded.

"I basically just wanted to see you," Faith smiled. She plated up the bacon and the eggs, and set them on the table.

"Should I take one in to Dean?" Liam asked.

"I'll do it," Faith volunteered.

Sam

"He's probably already asleep, he had a long night," Sam pointed out as he took some bacon.

Faith, Tru and Liam

"Oh good, whenever I bring him food in bed, he usually takes that as a sign to pull me into bed with him," Faith commented, sliding into the seat beside Sam.

She took a sip of her coffee.

"Yeah, I didn't even hear him come in," Tru said, buttering a bagel.

"I did," Liam told her. "Or I was dreaming at the time."

Sam

"It was about three I think," Sam said thoughtfully, chewing on some bacon.

"Normally when it gets past midnight he doesn't come back at all, so I remember being surprised."

Faith, Tru and Liam

"But," Faith said, nodding. "It was so nice to not share a room with him. Especially after he'd had Mexican."

Tru grinned. "That bad?"

"Guess you guys must be so used to everything now," Liam said. "When it comes to each other's habits."

"It's getting to that point, yeah," Faith replied. "Like Jumbo here gets restless when he's cold."

Sam

"I'm usually restless," Sam shrugged, "I just tend to focus it on research instead of psychical activity."

Faith, Tru and Liam

Faith nodded. "My nerditron."

"Oh spew, you're not going to get all gooey with each other, are you?" Tru asked, wrinkling her nose.

Liam chuckled.

"They're old," Tru said. "It's gross."

Sam & Dean

"And how old are you?" Sam asked seriously as Dean chuckled.

Tru, Faith and Liam

"I'm younger than you," Tru said, nodding. "This is like watching your parents be all gooey with each other."

"Which you managed to avoid," Faith noted.

"Up until now," Tru muttered.

"Or parental figures, anyway," Liam suggested.

Sam & Dean

"It's not that bad," Sam scorned, leaning over to kiss Faith to prove his point.

"I would have liked the chance to see my parents happy together."

Tru, Faith and Liam

"I wouldn't," Tru said, indicating the two of them. "But that would require you not to be here, Sam. So that's why I'll put up with the affection."

Faith raised an eyebrow. "Que?"

Liam grinned. "I think she means she wouldn't want you and Zac together, because she likes Sam. I think. Tru?"

"Yes." Tru nodded.

Sam

"I'll take that as a heartfelt compliment," Sam chuckled, leaving one arm around the back of Faith's chair.

Faith, Tru and Liam

Faith leaned back in her chair, holding her mug of coffee.

"Yeah, yeah," Tru said, grinning at Sam. "I still think you feel too much like my brother, but apparently I'm outvoted on that."

"If he was your brother, he'd probably be mean," Liam pointed out. "Considering what your Mom's like."

He grinned at Faith and she batted him playfully on the arm.

"Hey! Tru turned out very well balanced and polite!"

Sam

"I'll drink to that," Sam toasted his coffee mug and sipped.

Faith, Tru and Liam

Faith glanced at Sam before taking a sip of her coffee.

"What are your plans for the day?" she asked Liam and Tru.

Tru shrugged, looking at Liam. "I have a piano lesson this afternoon, but yeah, nothing else planned."

Liam grinned. "Ah, we're the most boring people on the planet. Nothing planned either."

"Boring is safe," Faith said. "Usually. Anyway, Sam, we should probably start getting dressed?"

Sam

"And we should probably get Dean out of bed," Sam nodded.

He stood, holding his coffee mug.

"I'll go wave this under his nose. Or pour it over him, depending on the reaction I get."

Faith and Tru

"Good luck," Faith grinned. "You need a hand, hon?"

Tru shook her head. "Nah, all good."

Sam & Dean

Sam soon had Dean out of bed and getting dressed.

"Do we know where we're going?" Dean grumbled, gulping down Sam's coffee.

"We might as well start with the kids involved," Sam shrugged.

"If they know what they've done we're not gonna get any answers from them," Dean pointed out.

Sam hesitated.

"You think we should stake them out first?"

Faith

Faith grabbed a handful of clothes and padded into the bathroom to have her shower.
