On The Move

Written by Nessa and AiMsTeR

Faith and Xavier

Faith was just heading back to the motel room with breakfast for the boys when her cell phone rang. She dug around in her pockets awkwardly, sliding it open without looking at the caller ID.

"Hello?"

"Faith?"

"Charles," she breathed. "Yeah, it's Faith. What have you got for me?"

"Little Rock, Arkansas," Xavier replied.

"Thanks so much," Faith said. "We're heading there now."

"Be careful."

Faith slipped her phone back into her pocket and broke into a run, reaching the motel room a little less than two minutes later. She opened the door, and tossed the somewhat battered bags of food down on the table.

"He's on the move again. Arkansas."

Dean & Sam

"Damnit," Dean cursed, as the boys quickly started packing.

"At this rate we're never gonna catch him. He's always one town ahead," Sam frowned, throwing his clothes into his duffel.

Faith

Faith grabbed the key from the bedside table.

"Sam, can you pack my stuff? I'll go check us out."

She turned again, heading for the main office.

Dean & Sam

Dean grabbed Sam's bag when he was done, taking both out to the impala. Sam in turn began packing Faith's stuff as Dean came back for his clothes.

"This is getting ridculous, we've been on his case for almost a month now," he muttered.

"Tell me about it," Sam agreed.

"You'd think if this kid had something to do with the apocalypse then the angels would know where the Hell it is," Dean went on, before taking his clothes bag out to the car as well.

Sam followed, doing one last sweep of the room, before closing and locking the door.

Faith

Faith finished up in the office, managing to get their room charges cut in half by letting the manager look down her shirt. She winked as she left, then headed back out to where the impala was all packed up and ready to go.

She nodded at Sam as she got back.

"Saddle up, there's no recourse," she muttered.

Sam & Dean

Sam opened the door for Faith, waiting until she got in before he did. And soon enough, Dean was gunning it down the road yet again.

"Do we have an exct location, or just the town?" he asked, glancing in the mirrors.

Faith

"Little Rock," Faith told him.

"He's still cloaking. His MO seems to be the capitals, guess it's easier to blend in with a stolen baby."

She chewed on her lip while she thought about it. He didn't have a name. What if this weirdo had already named him?

Dean & Sam

"Damnit," Dean glanced across at Sam.

"Is Bobby sure we can't do some sort of detecting seance` or anything?"

"He's sure," Sam sighed, looking over the map.

Faith

"He's tricky," Faith said, leaning into Sam's side.

"If he hadn't stolen something that had come from me, I'd be a little impressed."

Dean & Sam

"Welcome to our world," Dean grunted.

Sam slid one arm around her, holding the torch in that hand.

Faith

Faith took the torch from Sam and held it for him.

"This feels so depressing... I feel like I need to lighten the mood."

Dean

"Porn works," Dean suggested.

Faith

Faith glanced at him and grinned faintly.

"Once upon a time there was this naughty, naughty Slayer..."

Sam & Dean

Sam groaned, closing his eyes.

"Go on..." Dean grinned.

Faith

Faith laughed, taking a sidelong glance at Sam.

"Seriously though, did I ever tell you about my adventures into the girl on girl?"

Dean & Sam

"I believe you hinted at it and I never got details," Dean's eyebrows rose.

"Do we have to go into this now?" Sam asked, ready to turn on the puppy eyes if needed.

Faith

"Aww," Faith said, grinning at Sam.

"Does it make you uncomfortable?"

Sam

"You're seriously asking me that?" Sam's eyebrows rose.

Faith

"Well yeah."

Faith shrugged.

"Ok, I'll be good. Or rather, I'll be nice."

Sam & Dean

"Thanks," Sam said softly, getting back to his map.

Dean sighed, waiting for boredom to set in. Any second now...

Faith

Faith grinned at Dean.

"Just imagine me kissing a girl, if you want something to think about."

Dean

That brought a smile back to Dean's face.

"Or something else with a girl... thanks," he grinned.

Faith

"Glad to have helped."

Faith comfortably snuggled into Sam's side and closed her eyes, her hand still holding the torch steady for him.
