Faith looked up at the hospital building for a second, shielding her eyes from the morning sun, before taking a deep breath and headed through the automatic doors, determinedly. She stopped at the nurse's station, waiting for someone to come help her.

"Oh, I'm late," Derek said, catching up with Mark. "Dropped off the Chief's dry cleaning."
"You're doing his laundry?" Mark raised an eyebrow.
"We're helping each other out," Derek defended.
"Yeah?" Mark smirked. "What's he doing?"
"He has an extensive DVD collection," Derek said, then paused. He raised his eyebrows, exhaling heavily.
Mark chuckled. "You're dating the Chief. Huh."
"Not dating!" Derek called, as Mark peeled off towards the nurse's station.

"Slow morning," Mark said, sending a smile in Faith's direction. "You looking for someone?"
Faith glanced over at him. "Uh, yeah. Dr Montgomery."
"Ah," Mark nodded. He reached over for the phone and tapped in Addison's pager number. "She'll be here soon."
"Thanks," Faith replied, still distracted.
Mark nodded, and then went about his business, just as Addison rounded the corner.
"Hot Mom looking for you," Mark murmured to her as he passed.
"You're a terrible human being," Addison replied, then approached Faith. "You were looking for me? I'm Dr Montgomery."
"Hi, I contacted you a few days ago about helping me out with my medical records," Faith explained.
"Oh, yes, Ms Davies." Addison narrowed her eyes for a second, thinking that sounded familiar, before leading Faith into a consultation room.

Faith stared down at the file in front of her, barely listening as Addison explained the procedure she had undergone and what had transpired and the result of that. Five months ago. Five months ago she had been pregnant. They had terminated.
But that was wrong. The termination had failed, the baby was too far gone, it was protecting itself, somehow...
"I'm so sorry, Ms Davies," Addison was saying. "I have an emergency, Karev, can you finish up here?"
Alex nodded just as Addison had run out the door to go attend to whatever had called her away.
"Are you alright?" Alex asked, looking at Faith carefully.
"Can I get copies of these?" Faith questioned, snapping out of her thoughts.

Faith patted her jacket pocket, feeling the bulk of the envelope as she walked back out to the parking lot. She pulled the envelope out and ran her hand across it for a second, then tucked it into her bag before getting on the bike.
