Zac fidgetted as the guests arrived and took their seats. He didn't think he would be this nervous. He didn't even notice Isaac's gaze on him.
Saku rocked back and forth, waiting impatiently. This was definitely the boring part.
**********
"I know I've said this to you before," Natalie was saying. "But you look beautiful, Kate. You didn't even have to do the 'make sure the bridesmaids all wear ugly dresses' thing to accentuate just how gorgeous you look."
She grinned braodly, a merry twinkle in her eye.
Kate, Avery and Zoe
Kate smiled, her hands shaking slightly as she brushed a stray hair back behind her ear.
"Ok," she breathed, nodding.
"You ready?" Avery asked, looking amused. "You look ready, but you sound like you're going to pass out."
"Get out of my head," Kate joked. "No, no, I'm ready."
"Ok, Zo-zo," Avery said to her youngest sister. "Guess that's our cue."
Zac and Natalie
Zac's face lit up as the music began to play and his eyes shot to the doorway.
Natalie squeezed Kate's hand in encourgaement, before moving to take her place in the line.
Zoe, Avery and Kate
Zoe went down the aisle first, her feet slightly turned out from her years of dancing. She beamed excitedly as she went along.
Avery was next, Jess behind her.
Kate looked up at her Dad and he smiled at her.
"Ready, baby?" he asked quietly.
She nodded. "I love you, Daddy."
"I love you too, Katie."
Natalie and Zac
Natalie waited a moment, then followed Jess down the aisle. As she approached the end, her eyes met Taylor's and she smiled as she took her place.
Zac realised he was sweating and used his temperature maniuplation to evaporate the sweat and cool down the areas in question. Didn't want to scare Kate of with bad BO or something. He didn't even really realise until this moment just how nervous he was about the possiblility of scaring Kate off.
Kate
Kate took a deep breath, and took another short glance at her father.
He smiled at her again, and started to lead her down the aisle.
Zac and Isaac
Zac's eyes lit up as he saw Kate enter the room. He didn't realise it was possible for her to look any more beautiful. Isaac glanced briefly over at Zac, then back to Kate.
Kate
Kate felt her eyes welling up as she looked at Zac. With the aid of her father, she made it to him without passing out, then finally tore her eyes away from Zac to let her father lift the veil over her face.
Her hand was then placed in Zac's.
Zac
Zac smiled at Kate, and barely heard the opening words of the pastor. He 'woke up' in plenty of time for the exchanging of vows and rings.
"I know pronounce you, husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
Zac grinned at Kate and met her lips with his. He considered whether he could get away with dipping her backwards and decided that yes, yes he could. So he did.
Taylor
"Whoo!" Taylor grinned, clapping.
"Careful now, don't want to crack her head open just yet."
Kate and Avery
Kate laughed as she kissed Zac, holding on around his neck in case he decided it would be fun to drop her.
Avery rolled her eyes good naturedly.
Saku, Isaac and Zac
Saku wolf whistled while Isaac smiled and shook his head.
Zac pulled Kate back up until she was steady on her feet again and gave her a grin as he pulled away, leaving one arm around her waist.
Kate
Kate shook her head, but smiled back at Zac.
"Great, you reveal how much of a weirdo you are after I've said 'I do'," she teased.
Zac
Zac chuckled, and gestured down the asile.
"Shall we?"
Kate
"We shall," Kate replied.
Nikki
The bridal party returned down the aisle. The paperwork was signed, photos were taken and everyone made their way to the reception. Nikki sat with Diana and Walker at the table closest to the groomsmens' side of the bridal table. The waiters brought out the entres and the music played.
