"Hey!" Bobby's face broke into a grin as he saw the new arrivals. Well, one in particular. "Haven't seen you round these parts much, hot stuff."
Faith rolled her eyes, but she was grinning. "I thought they were finally rid of you here."
"No way man," he replied.
"I can attest to that," Hank spoke up. "Greetings, Faith, Sam, Dean. Faith, I have organised a room for you."
"You're back? For how long?" Bobby asked. "You and Logan...?"
"Are none of your business, Icicle," Logan interjected, appearing from around the corner.
Faith and Logan locked eyes, both of their stances tensing slightly.
"Welcome back," Logan said, rather stiffly.
"Thanks," Faith answered in the same tone.
Bobby glanced between the pair and at the nudge from Hank, he stood. "Uh... I can take you to your room, Faith."
"That would be good," Faith replied, though her eyes did not leave Logan's.
Sam & Dean
Sam tensed a little upon seeing Logan.
"Icicle?" Dean raised an eyebrow, looking at Bobby.
Bobby, Logan and Faith
"Yeah," Bobby said to Dean. "I prefer Iceman, though. My mutation allows me to turn into ice. And to create it."
"So, darlin'," Logan drawled. "Bunking with me or on your own?"
"Afraid you're still stuck with your hand for company," Faith returned, her tone dripping with false sweetness.
Sam & Dean
"And you can keep that hand to yourself, too," Sam said sharply.
"Ice huh?" Dean nodded.
He stared at Bobby for a moment, then turned his attention to the tension triangle.
Hank, Bobby, Faith and Logan
Hank nudged Bobby again, and the younger mutant cleared his throat.
"Faith?" he tried to get her attention and she complied, finally tearing her eyes away from Logan. "Your room?"
"Yeah," she nodded, then paused, tilting her head slightly as she listened to something only she could hear. "But the Professor wants to see me first."
"I'll take you," Bobby told her. "There was a slight... fire mishap and he had to move his office."
Faith glanced at Sam for a second. "I won't be long."
Logan grinned faintly. "Take your time, darlin'. I'm sure the kid and I can play nice for a few minutes."
Faith started following Bobby, pausing at Logan's shoulder. "Behave, whelp."
Logan's nostrils flared slightly. "Anything for you, darlin'."
Dean & Sam
Dean watched after her - ok, he watched her ass - then turned back to Sam.
"Fine. She's here. Can we go now?"
Logan and Hank
"Yeah, she's in good hands here," Logan said, staring at Sam. "I'll make sure she's comfortable. So your job here is done."
Hank cleared his throat softly.
Sam & Dean
"Yeah, you do that," Sam said pointedly, "but I'll be back."
"Yeah sure tough guy," Dean shoved Sam's shoulder, sending him backwards only a little, "let's go."
"We should wait until she gets out," Sam insisted.
"Why?"
"Because she didn't say goodbye. She's obviously expecting us to be here."
Logan and Hank
"Don't count on it, bub," Logan said to Sam. "I'm surprised you've lasted this long."
Hank sent Logan a warning look.
"We were taking bets on how long you'll last," Logan continued.
Sam & Dean
"Oh yeah?" Sam stepped forward with a smirk.
"I guess I'll take my winnings then."
Dean watched them both witt a scowl.
Logan and Hank
"Games not over yet, kid," Logan returned, taking a step forward too. "After all, she left her husband for me."
Hank was watching tensely.
Sam
"From what I hear it didn't take much," Sam said snidely, "but if you want to try and take her back, be my guest. But I'm pretty sure she's had enough of hairballs and wants a real man these days."
Logan
"And you think you're the man for the job?" Logan cocked an eyebrow, claws slowly sliding out of his knuckles.
"But if you're letting me reclaim her, then sure. Guess you won't need to be coming back."
Sam
"I said 'try' to take her back, I wasn't offering," Sam corrected.
"And yeah, I think I am. Why, got a problem with that?"
Logan and Hank
"Amused really," Logan smirked, taking another step forward. "The thought of you being enough for Faith is laughable."
Hank took a step towards the pair, ready to hold someone back if need be.
Sam & Dean
"Well I can tell just by looking that I'm more than you are," Sam smirked.
"And like a said, no hairballs."
Dean's hand went to his Colt 1911.
Hank and Logan
Hank was still looking between the pair. No offence intended towards Faith, she was a lovely girl, but he really didn't understand if she was quite important enough to have a showdown in the foyer of a school.
"We'll see," Logan replied, still smirking. "I spent a year with the Wildcat. I know what she wants and how to give it to her."
If Hank could've blushed, he would've.
Sam & Dean
"And I've been with her almost a year and a half, so how much do you think I know?" Sam smirked, pleased with himself.
"About as much as I do and I've banged her all of ten times. Now break it up," Dean butted in, pulling Sam back by the shoulder.
Hank, Logan and Faith
Hank put a paw on Logan's shoulder, holding the older mutant back.
"Enough," Hank said firmly. "This is not necessary."
"'Fraid it is, Blue," Logan replied. "The kid has to know his place. He has every right to know that this might well be the last time he sees her."
"Enough," Hank repeated. "Stop this."
"Can't do it," Logan shrugged. "Not when she's on the line. She's still mine, you see."
Faith, meanwhile, was heading back into a tense situation, pausing to say hello to Storm.
Dean & Sam
"Hey hey, back off porcupine," Dean turned suddenly.
"One, you ain't making choices on her behalf. She belongs to no one but herself. Two, you're not riling my brother up any more than he his, or he's gonna do a whole lot of ass kicking and I ain't holding him back. Three, I got to Faith first so if anyone's taking her home it's me. Got that? I win. Now shut up and back the f--- off before people get hurt. This isn't the time or the place."
Faith and Logan
Faith came around the corner just in time to hear the tail end of Dean's speech and she stopped short at the scene in front of her.
"Thought I told you to behave," she said.
Logan held his hands up, claws sliding back with a 'snikt'.
"Behaving, sweetheart."
Faith eyed him, before making her way over to Sam and putting her hand on his arm.
Sam & Dean
"He started it," Sam muttered, before looking down at her.
"And I ended it, so let's move on and get the Hell out of here. Sam?"
"Is everything ok?" Sam asked, ignoring Dean.
Faith and Logan
Faith glanced at Dean for a second, before lifting her other hand to lightly touch Sam's chin. "Everything's fine. Xavier just wanted to say hey and all that."
Logan snorted slightly. "Guess you boys will be leaving now."
Dean & Sam
"Keep going," Dean pointed at Logan in warning.
"So you're good to go?" Sam asked her, "we're just gonna find the nearest motel. Want me to come back later? Or do you want to settle in properly first?"
Faith and Logan
"I'm good," Faith said, nodding. "And yes. Would like to see your loserface later, but if you get busy, it's all good. I'll soldier through the heartache."
She grinned teasingly.
Logan rolled his eyes slightly, and backed off a little.
Sam
"I'll come back tonight then," Sam gave her a kiss on the forehead, "take it easy, ok?"
Faith
"I'll see you later."
Faith reached up for a proper kiss, before knuckle punching with Dean.
"You should come back, Kansas. They have wicked good pie here."
Dean & Sam
"Ooh pie," that brought a smile to Dean's face.
"Looks like I'll have to come back whether I want to or not though."
"See you," Sam smiled turning to leave with him.
Faith and Logan
"Bye gorgeous, oh and you, Sam," Faith teased.
She turned to see Logan's retreating back down the hallway.
"Hey whelp, come show me the Danger Room programs!" she called, jogging after him.
