"So, how does it feel to be Mrs Miles?" Liam asked, leaning into whisper in Tru's ear.
Tru smiled, and rested her head against Liam's. "Pretty good."
~*~*~*~
"You're a mother-in-law," Angel said, nodding at Faith. "What's it like?"
Faith punched the vampire in the arm lightly. "Shut up."
~*~*~*~
Chantelle followed the crowd of Tru's university friends into the reception, and she looked around at the decorations, her lips moving into a pout.
Sam & Dean
"It makes her feel old," Sam mused, rubbing Faith's arm as if to make sure she realised it was a joke.
He glanced idly at his brother on the other side of the room, in the middle of chatting up some female guests.
Faith, Angel, Tru and Liam
"Hmmph," Faith said, pouting playfully up at Sam.
Angel hid his amused grin with a cough. "Don't worry, Faith, I still have centuries on you."
~*~*~*~
Tru grimaced at a sight across the room and Liam touched her cheek gently.
"You ok?" he asked quietly.
"Yeah... just... oh nevermind, here she comes."
"Hey Tru!" Chantelle greeted, appearing quickly. "Everything looks beautiful. Like a dream wedding. Not mine though. I don't know if I can get married after my past history with guys."
Liam looked at Tru as if to say 'are you kidding me?'
Sam
Sam frowned in confusion at the new arrival, giving Faith an awkward glance. Tossing up for a moment whether he should or not, he gave in and used his telepathy.
"Who the heck is this?"
Faith, Tru, Liam and Chantelle
Faith looked over at her daughter and Liam, and frowned slightly. She shrugged.
~*~*~*~
"Ugh, the weather is making my fibro play up," Chantelle said, nodding. "So much pain."
Liam glanced at Tru again.
Sam
"Fibro?" Sam raised an eyebrow curiously, "isn't that soe kind of medicine?"
Tru and Chantelle
Tru turned wide panicked eyes on Sam as if to say 'no no no!'.
"Fibromyalgia," Chantelle said, sighing. "It's a rare condition I have. I'm in pain all the time."
Sam
"And you don't take anything for it?" Sam frowned.
Chantelle and Tru
"There's no cure for it," Chantelle sighed again. "It's just something I'll have to live with."
"So, have they diagnosed you with it yet? Like... an actual doctor. Not a medical textbook you've read," Tru said, somewhat snidely.
Chantelle went on, not picking up the sarcasm. "No, but it's very hard to diagnose."
"And yet, you've diagnosed yourself," Tru muttered.
Sam
"Why haven't you let a doctor deal with it? You don't know if there's treatment unless you go to one," Sam just looked confused.
Tru
Tru was making large panic eyes at Sam, hoping he would stop asking questions.
"The doctors are all stupid," Chantelle went on, with another sigh. "They don't know what they're talking about."
Sam
"How do you know if you haven't asked?" Sam asked matter-of-factly.
Chantelle and Tru
"They think I'm too young," Chantelle replied. "It all started after I broke up with my abusive ex boyfriend."
Tru let out a long wavering sigh at that.
Sam
"Right," Sam nodded, slowly catching on that this girl was a bit of a nutcase.
If they were lucky, maybe Dean would get her.
Faith and Chantelle
"Abusive how?" Faith piped up. "Sometimes I enjoy the rough with the tumble."
"He was emotionally abusive," Chantelle replied, complete with quivering lip.
"Ah," Faith nodded. "Sam plays that card sometimes. He withholds the good stuff. Abuse."
Sam
Sam's cheeks flushed red.
"I do not," he kept his eyes down.
Tru, Liam, Faith and Angel
Tru wrinkled her nose at the thought of Sam and Faith together and Liam chuckled.
"You do, handsome," Faith said, before reaching up to kiss him on the cheek.
Angel hid his grin.
"No," Chantelle went on. "He would make me feel guilty for not having sex."
Faith almost laughed. "Ah, that's my specialty."
Sam
"Doesn't everyone these days? It's like prerequisite blackmail," Sam scoffed, looking at Faith.
Faith and Chantelle
"Hey!" Faith protested. "I use sex as a weapon."
Chantelle ignored Sam and continued. "He was emotionally abusive. I have the hardest time trusting guys now."
Though, as she said this, she was checking Sam out.
Dean & Sam
"You can trust me, sugar," Dean sidled up from nowhere.
"I was wondering where you were," Sam said snidely.
Chantelle and Faith
"N-no," Chantelle stammered out. "I don't... I'm too fragile."
Faith almost snorted.
Dean & Sam
"Then you need someone to help you gt past that," Dean teased, running a finger down her arm from behind.
Sam leant his head in his and, half hoping the advance would make er run out crying.
Chantelle and Faith
"It was a big enough step for me to come here," Chantelle said, trying to move away from Dean. "Weddings are hard for me. Not that you don't deserve happiness, Tru. It's just unfair sometimes, you know? Like you're so... and well, me..."
Faith's eyes narrowed, ready to strike the girl if she spoke out of turn about her daughter.
Dean
"Awww, no one understands you," Dean pouted sarcastically, "you poor thing. You must hurt so bad."
Chantelle
"Stop it," Chantelle said to Dean. "This is really difficult for me already!"
Dean
"And you could make it very hard for me, too," Dean grinned.
Chantelle
Chantelle was about to protest again when she looked at Dean, and his eyes caught her attention.
She smiled faintly.
Dean & Sam
"Now that's more like it," Dean smiled.
Sam feigned silent choking.
Faith and Chantelle
Faith wrapped her arms around Sam's neck and lightly brushed her lips across his.
"You're cuter," she murmured to him.
"You have really beautiful eyes," Chantelle told Dean.
Dean & Sam
"I know," Dean grinned, "but so do you."
"Thanks," Sam grinned, before kissing her back, "you're not so bad yourself."
Faith and Chantelle
"You're just saying that because you know what's under this dress," Faith teased lightly.
Chantelle blushed and looked away for a second. "You're very sweet."
Dean & Sam
"No I'm not," Dean said insistantly, "but my God, you are."
"So what if I am?" Sam teased.
Chantelle and Faith
Chantelle blushed again. "You're just saying that."
Faith grinned. "Maybe I should walk away. Take away temptation for you."
Dean
"Sweet like sugar? No. Sweet like honey? Well, you'd have to prove that," Dean smirked.
He slid his arm around her waist, pulling her away from the bridal table, giving them a wink as he did so.
"Maybe you should," Sam smirked, before mouthing a 'thankyou' to Dean.
Chantelle, Tru, Liam and Faith
Chantelle leaned into Dean's arms as they walked.
"Oh thank God," Tru breathed. "I didn't even invite her."
"Is that the girl you were telling me about?" Liam asked.
"Yes."
Faith leaned her forehead against Sam's and grinned faintly. "Maybe... but I think I'm just too fond of you to let go."
Sam
"Awww," Sam teased, "you lurve me."
Faith
Faith poked her tongue out at him.
"Sometimes."
Sam
"Oh. Right. Only sometimes," Sam feigned dejection.
Faith
"Most of the time?" Faith tried.
Sam
"Most of the time?" he pretended that was worse.
Faith
Faith smiled faintly.
"When you love me?"
Sam
"But I love you all the time," Sam nodded insistantly.
Faith
"Then I love you all the time."
Faith leaned over for a kiss.
