Here Comes The Bride

Written by Nessa, AiMsTeR and Michelle

Tru, Faith, Serafina and Avery

"Oh God," Tru said, glancing at the clock. "It's time. I can't... is everything ready? I think I'm going to have a heart attack."

Faith suppressed a grin. "You're ok, honey. Honestly. It's all alright. Everything is perfect. Just take a few deep breaths."

~*~*~*~

Liam glanced across at Angel nervously, and Angel tried to muster a "you can do it" smile, though, having no practice for those, it just looked like a "I feel awkward" smile.

~*~*~*~

"Are you ready?" Serafina asked, touching Tru lightly on the shoulder.

Tru nodded, glancing across at Avery, then at Zac. "Dad?"

Faith handed the bouquet to her daughter and touched her cheek lightly.

Zac and Saku

"Really whenever you are," Zac said to Tru.

He offered her his elbow.

**********

Saku smiled in spite of himself and Liam and Angel's exchange.

Tru, Faith, Serafina

Tru took Zac's arm, and took another deep breath. "Ok. Ready."

Faith, Serafina and Avery were poised ready to walk out the doors when the music began.

~*~*~*~

The music streamed through the speakers into the hall and the doors at the back opened.

Sam & Dean

Sam pulled Dean up as everyone stood to welcome the bridal party. Ignoring his brother's uncomfortable fidgeting, he watched eagerly for Faith and Tru's appearance.

Avery, Serafina, Faith, Tru and Liam

Avery appeared first, then Serafina and finally Faith. The three women had their hair long over their shoulders, curling into casual ringlets, and the two bridesmaids whore matching pale green dresses, while Faith's was slightly different to signify her role as the maid of honour and mother of the bride.

~*~*~*~

Tru took a deep breath and looked at Zac, before smiling.

~*~*~*~

Liam waited eagerly for Tru to appear.

Zac and Saku

Zac smiled back and gestured to the path before them, ready to walk down with Tru.

**********

Saku watched and waited patiently.

Tru and Liam

Tru nodded, before taking another deep breath and starting the walk down the aisle.

~*~*~*~

Liam's smile went a little wider as he saw Tru appear.

Zac and Saku

Zac walked down the aisle with his daughter, and felt a lump form in this throat. Now here was something he didn't think he'd be doing for years.

Saku's eyes lighted on his half-sister and smiled faintly.

Faith, Angel, Tru and Liam

Faith and Angel looked across at each other and smiled, before looking back towards Tru.

Tru felt her eyes getting a little teary as they walked and she glanced over at Zac for a second.

Zac

Zac caught Tru's eyes and smiled at her. He trusted those were tears of joy he was seeing as they passed the last of the pews. Then he looked up at Liam and at the prompt of the celebrant, Zac took Liam's hand and put it in Tru's.

His part in the ceremony complete, he quietly took his seat.

Liam, Tru, Avery, Serafina, Luke, Angel and Faith

Liam squeezed Tru's hand lightly, and the pair couldn't keep their eyes off each other, even as the celebrant began speaking.

Avery wiped at a tear at the corner of her eye, glancing around at the guests. Thankfully, the Portofino Hotel was demon and alien friendly, as some people had a hard time fitting in with a normal human crowd.

Serafina winked at Luke, who was standing across from her and he grinned back.

Angel caught Faith's eye and she smirked, noting the tear that was running down his cheek. She glanced out and saw Sam, and she smiled faintly, before returning her attention to the ceremony.

Sam & Dean

"Have you ever seen so many beings congregate?" Sam asked Dean idly, ooking around at the wedding guests.

"No," Dean replied simply, "but I tell you what, every inch of my being is telling me to smite 'em."

"Don't you dare."

"I can't, I got no weapons. Dumbass."

Tru, Liam, Angel and Faith

Tru and Liam leaned in to kiss at the celebrant's instruction, and Angel grinned at Faith.

Faith wiped a tear away with her free hand.

Zac and Saku

Zac and Saku joined in with the applause at Tru and Liam's kiss.

Liam, Tru, Faith, Angel, Luke, Serafina and Avery

Liam took Tru's hand and they turned to walk back down the aisle together.

The rest of the bridal party started to follow suit, all matched up in their pairs.

Dean & Sam

Dean looked at his watch.

"How long until the reception?"

"About an hour," Sam sighed, watching Faith leave with doughy eyes.

"Great."

Faith, Tru and Liam

Faith winked at Sam as she went past, gesturing slightly that he and Dean could come meet them out the back.

Tru glanced over at Liam and smiled again, trying not to cry before the rest of the photos werer taken.

Zac and Saku

Saku resisted the urge to fool around in Tru and Liam's wedding photos.

Zac stood behind the photographer, his eyes on his daughter. It still felt weird, but he was very happy for her.

Faith

Faith leaned over to Zac, almost ready to laugh.

"So... how long before we're the world's youngest grandparents?" she joked.

Zac

"Ugh," Zac replied. "I'm twenty-one years old, I have a son and a daughter who are my age and now I'm looking down the barrel at grandparenthood."

He sighed.

"I think I have an idea of how my parents must have felt."

Faith

"Well," Faith considered. "To be fair, your parents were significantly older when you started having kids."

She noticed that she and Zac were getting herded by the photographer to get photos taken together.

Zac

"True," Zac conceeded.

He moved to stand where the photographer directed him.

Faith

Faith followed suit, standing next to Zac, where she was directed.

"This feels... weird," she said to him quietly. "Photos at our daughter's wedding."

Zac

"Yes, yes it does," Zac agreed.

"And smile," said the photographer.

The flash went off.

Faith, Tru and Liam

"Man, I hate photos," Faith mused, smiling for the next one.

She brightened slightly when Tru came over to have photos with her parents, Liam watching from the sidelines.

Zac

"Really? I get my photo taken so often I've become desensitised, methinks," Zac mused.

He smiled at Tru.

"Hey beautiful," he said.

Tru and Faith

"Hi Dad," Tru said, smiling back at him. "Feel weird enough for you yet?"

Faith fixed the back of Tru's veil carefully. "It could be weirder."

Zac

"Yep, it's definitely weird, although the idea of it getting weirder worries me," Zac nodded, raising an eyebrow at Faith.

Faith and Tru

"I don't anticipate weirder being anything you'll have to deal with too much, Faith said, trying to be reassuring.

Tru snorted.

Zac and Saku

"My life's already weird enough? Is this what you're saying?" Zac grinned. "Or that your lives are even weirder than mind, I should stop complaining?"

He stopped to smile for the camera.

"Yes to both accounts," Saku replied from the sidelines.

Faith and Tru

"Pretty much," Faith agreed. "Your weird has nothing on our weird."

"My weird is actually not all that weird," Tru pointed out. "Aside from being nearly the same age as my parents... ok fine. My weird is pretty weird too."

Saku and Zac

Saku chuckled.

"See? This is what I'm saying," Zac nodded.
