Nikki stopped short seeing Isaac standing in the doorway and Everett floating in the air above the change table on the other side of the room.
"What on earth are you doing?" she demanded.
"Changing Everett's nappy," Isaac replied cheerfully.
"Telekinetically?"
"No one likes a stinky nappy."
Nikki stared, shaking her head, a mis of envy and horror.
"You can't just handle a baby telekinetically!"
"It's just for nappy changing."
"Yes but... but he needs physical contact. You can't do it like this... it's so.. so... so impersonal."
Isaac shrugged.
"I've always changed nappies like this," he admitted. "As soon as I was taught how."
"Yes but I..."
"If you don't like it, you can always take over the nappy changing duties."
Nikki opened her mouth to reply, narrowed her eyes and wagged a finger at him.
"Nice try."
Isaac chuckled.
"But can't you just... do you have to... it just doesn't seem right somehow."
"If it makes you feel any better I won't do it when you're around to see from now on?" Isaac suggested mischeviously as he finished the operation and moved over to pick up his son properly.
"That makes me feel oh so much better."
